Keep in mind that the shot of the running man, has up to 10 seconds of an "empty shot" (nothing happening) before he suddenly appears and runs up the alley. As such I feel shot 7 is the same, it just has a bit of run-in time before the person is visible. That footage, that WE are working with, remember, is filmed by ITV news. They filmed a projector screen, and obviously decided to cut it off shortly after shot 7 starts.

Personally, I feel debating shot 7 at this point and a possible lurker in a doorway there, is a step backwards. However, I believe that one camera, covers so many angles, at least 5, for 30 seconds a piece. We know its angles are:

Angle 1: St Johns Street, wide [camera looking North] (30 seconds)
Angle 2: Brentgrovel Street, wide [camera looking West] (30 seconds)
Angle 3: Officer's Club Courtyard [camera looking at ground below] (30 seconds)
Angle 4: Horseshoe Alley wide [camera looking East] (30 seconds)
Angle 5: Horseshoe Alley, Cornhill closeup [camera looking East] (30 seconds)

Angle 6 (unconfirmed) may be a closeup of St John's street, but probably not. Even without number 6, that's 1 and a half minutes of time where nothing is watching the Horseshoe. Suffice to say, the workload for this CCTV camera is arguably too high. Covering more angles with shorter times may have its drawbacks... They really should have a dedicated Horseshoe/Cornhill closeup camera. Instead they stuck it on the corner and gave one camera an additional workload.

The camera zooming in on the running man is pure co-incidence and it's probably fooling people into thinking it has motion detection (I was fooled by this) or that a camera operator is actually watching.

This shop has been empty a long time with no Mannequins inside from what I can tell. I don't know if Tricksy or any of the other locals know whether it is still empty? I think someone lurking just a few feet away from where Corrie was last seen is perfectly fine to discuss, as well as the mysterious feet that appear when the running man passes. All good discussion fodder.

Just speculating, but if Corrie did have a row with his friends before leaving base, only to find that they left without him, he could have driven into Bury angry or upset. Grabbed some alcohol and sat in the car to talk it over w Darroch, who probably would have talked some sense into him and calmed him down.

Corrie walking to So Bar and then to Wetherspoons before Flex does seem like he was looking to meet up with his group. He went to each place looking for them, finding them not there, moving on to the next club. When he finds them at Flex, he was probably angry that he'd been walking around all night looking, and maybe started getting loud? Could that be why he was asked to leave Flex?

And I'm sure that Corrie's friends have all been instructed by police and military personnel not to speak to the public on his disappearance, but have given statements detailing all they know.

Given all the cctv coverage in that particular area of Bury, is it possible that the police have been watching that area for another reason - drugs, terrorism, whatever - and Corrie's disappearance could muddle another ongoing investigation if all of those unidentified people's faces are blasted to the media?

So, Marky, you don't think the camera has an automatic tracking function?

Nicola

"He wasn't in the habit of it, but he had done it ... ermm eh ... but ... erm .... yes he had done it before"

Darroch

"..... at the end of the night is pff. If they have all stuck with each other, they've all got a taxi together. If they've arranged to get a lift then get back, it's just take it as it comes"

I think the family needs to clarify those two statements first off, as that could explain "the wait".

I was thinking surely in the conversation with his brother Corrie must have mentioned his intentions for the rest of the night for example wouldn't his brother ask if he's going to find his mates or is he walking home or has he arranged a lift just in general conversation I would have thought he might have told his brother just normally chatting Oh I got asked to leave Flex tonight blah blah so brother just asks what you going to do find them or you got a lift sorted but, nothing maybe just me so puzzling!

Just a question  Has there been an "Official" - from the Police I mean - statement to say

that it is not possible for a person to exit the bin area without being spotted by CCTV??

The Officer's Club is now Edmundos Restaurant and has been for some time now.

I thought his phone call to his brother was before he began his evening excursions ? In his car parked near
Waitrose in fact ?

I asked the Police at the POD about the activity on his POF account. The Police said they know who it is accessing it but thanked us for notifying them.

Or his "lift" is a regular Friday night thing ?
His family are keeping tight lipped (apart from the "ermmmm's")

The cctv is a thing and a half. Its almost a distraction. What are they looking for ? A witness ? A suspect ? A friend ? Corrie himself ?

A bizarre case.

How do I post a link from FB? Seems Tony is getting very, very hacked off.

Someone asked "Forgive me if an obvious question.. but why could the cctv footage shown in Bury late last week, not be shown on news programmes on TV? To reach a wider audience? Think of you all everyday hoping for good news xx"
He replies

"The same reason that the Investigation team immediately declared no third party was involved without any evidence to support that statement.

The same reason they have not made public appeals to ask for assistance with identifying all of these 23(+) outstanding individuals - even though that disk was made a month ago.

...because they don't have the resources to answer the phone - never mind actually record, analyse and investigate all of the information this publicity would generate.

Eh, damn. Not being on Facebook I can't actually see anything that account even though it's public because it keeps demanding that I join or log in to see the comments etc.
