I don't disagree with you, it's just a question. But to add to this, on cctv 2 corrie turns back several times and appears to talk- could he have been going for a quick wee before they headed off somewhere and then the car pulled up to collect him?

I suppose he could have been ushered that way.

The way he makes his way down the street in cctv 2 seems to be with purpose but he makes a sharp turn. What makes him go from the doorway down there and then what makes him change sudden direction once in the horseshoe

This probably wasn't his first rodeo - he knew what spots were good to sit and eat some late night food. Remember, he was a regular at Mamma Mia's late night pizzeria, supposedly, so it more than likely was a place he had sat before

But that early ?
Would he "normally" get asked to leave Flex ?

I agree, from thread 1 I have said he's waiting, I have seen nothing to change my mind. The cynical part of me says why can't we see the cctv of him in the doorway.

That's a great question - why wouldn't they at least show a still photo or a small clip of him in the doorway, or even the passersby that stop to speak to him? It might be helpful, maybe someone that speaks to him there matches up to the shadows loitering around on the cctv footage from ITV

Yes!! I felt the same thing! Exactly!

The first interview is the "tell tale".
First you have to accept that everything that is said is true.
And it is.

A very confident Nicola "stammers" for 7 seconds when asked "Is Corrie in a habit of walking home". (3 Oct).

One can only assume that Nicola is answering questions about Corrie, how he gets home normally, about that night and about his habitual behaviour. That's alot to take in.

Nicola is heartbroken and desperately trying to find where her son is and what has happened to him.

The two things are at cross purposes.
This is by no means a dig at Nicola. This is taking nothing away from the horror that she must be going through. And this is not a clever journalist asking that question.

What she knows on the 3rd of Oct must be contrary to what she has to display publicly. Hence the 7 second stammer and reaffirmed answer.

Personally, I couldn't give two hoots if he is bi, gay, straight, straight with a hint of vanilla or he likes group sex with black men wearing blonde wigs..... BUT the "public" will either "help" or "not help" depending on what she says.

They don't need to show it all, I am more interested when he gets up and leaves. For example is the silver car gone

Does anyone know if the D notice is still in force? Do you think that is still making an impact on how little we 'really' know?

Looking at his Instagram page when it was available, he took selfies all the time so he would not need to send a photo featuring his brother as a hook up image as there would be plenty available on his phone of just him.

He had arranged for his brother to visit a few hours earlier. Perhaps whoever he was messaging (a hookup, a friend?) had been asking about the planned visit and asked what his brother looked like so Corrie asked for the photo of the two of them?

  • #408
This is where my original Tinder/Grindr theory came from. Was his brother actually covering the families blushes by saying the photo had been sent to him?
It was a photo OF Corrie and his brother Darroch that was sent TO a friend ...

Please remember,,, WE are only being drip fed with the details / facts and IMO CCTV from Flex will have been reviewed.

What do you mean by "joints"? Pubs? Clubs? And for what exactly?

I notice there's a 24-hour transport caff (Red Lodge Cafe) just off the A11 at Red Lodge, between Barton Mills and Newmarket.

Coincidentally there are 3 or 4 vehicle breakers and metal recyclers in and around that small settlement.

There's also a patch of woodland with a pond in the middle right in the middle of Red Lodge.

Nope the 24hr cafe hasn't been 24hr for a good few years now
There are lots of American service personel living in the village though, but at random places throughout not a seperate area

As we've heard it's not unusual for Corrie to leave alone on nights out and make his way home himself I think it would be interesting if they could trace cctv of him on his previous nights out (the last 1 or 2) and see if trips to the horseshoe area were a regular occurrence for him to see if this is a regular meet up that's gone wrong this time. It would certainly give more clues to his behaviour that night if it was known whether this "creature of habit" had been there after a night out before.

Of course its been so long since Corrie disappeared, nevermind his last night out before this one, that I expect any cctv is long since recorded over.

QUOTE=DanceCard;12963039]That link doesn't work for me.

Is that your opinion that Corrie "absolutely could not have left that area on foot" or is that what it says in the link? If it's in the link who is being quoted? Family or the police?

Dancecard, no not my opinion. I did say above was the text

from google and the page didn't load.
From memory I think it was an interview with Nicola. I haven't been able to find it since and have just searched the words i remembered.
I wonder if that cctv shows any interaction with anyone, probably nothing.[/QUOTE]

Thanks Kernow. I misunderstood and thought it was the 2nd pargaraph that was from Google.

I'm afraid I'm like a dog with a bone over the CCTV. It's the "couldn't get away on foot unseen" insistence that's making this case very mysterious.

I've never seen that quote from Police, all I've seen from the police is a quote in mid October that said "With this in mind hundreds of hours of CCTV footage have already been viewed and officers have been out on the ground seeing if any further images can be gathered. There is not 100% coverage in the area and therefore police are broadening the search for CCTV images and continuing to view the footage already collected."

For me, if Corrie could have left on foot that changes everything.
Again, if anyone can link me to a direct quote from the police that says it was impossible for Corrie to leave on foot without being seen, I would very much appreciate it!

I think in an early press conference Darroch said he (Darroch) was getting ready to go to bed, his day was ending as he had to work the next day, and Corrie was getting ready to go out.
Yep - about 5:18 in to this video - http://www.findcorrie.co.uk/2016/10/03/no-evidence-of-where-my-son-is/

And he says on that interview he had spoke to him 4 times during the day.
Calling him was quicker than texting, calling him in his break and at his next dinner.

Then he called him when he left work (call 5 ) Corrie was getting ready to go out.
Then call 6 was when Corrie was in his car...
(I thought I saw he posted the photo to him at 3-08,
it seems now it wasn't sent to him but to someone else so my mistake.)

putting that aside.

They spoke to each other 6 times in one day, Am I right?.. . the next day and the next day there was no communication between them?
After 6 phone calls on the Friday there was nothing till Darroch was contacted by Corries friends who had Darrochs phone number..

While it would be interesting to view I doubt we will ever see this. I have read about similar comments on this but have never been able to find them,,,, something to the effect that "it was too distressing"

I'm not certain about this I thought he asked his brother for a copy of the photo to send on to someone else and it was part of an earlier conversation but I may have misunderstood. Also corrie has two brothers so which brother was the text and conversation with and who sent and received the photo? Again the smoke and mirrors but hopefully the police and family know for sure and this is crucial I think to knowing his state of mind and what he did next, which was head to the bin area at 3.24, only a quarter of an hour after that text.

RSBM.

Well the Police seized 1100 hours of CCTV and that is a lot. Let's say 24 hours of footage between 15:00 on the 23rd and 15:00 on the 24th from 45 cameras. That would be 1080 hours.

I believe the standard for archive for the council CCTV footage is 28 or 31 days so hopefully the Police secured previous nights out early in the investigation if they deemed it important.

I think I read somewhere that it was "too upsetting". As I cannot find the link I'll probably get booted for this but please believe me this is true

Darrochs body language in the interview kept catching my eye. He had his arms folded the whole time which, in my experience, usually indicate a defensive/protective measure and he also hardly moved but then both times when he was asked about speaking to Corrie that day, he suddenly gets quite animated and uses his hands to illustrate, almost in "swiping sections", how many times he spoke to him.
He does that twice, as well as emphasising that Corrie was "beyond happy".
It's probably nothing but those bits just really stand out to me.

I saw that too and thought it a rather odd word choice

What's your thoughts on the quality of the VID?
