Killer still at large 15 years after North Wales pensioner was brutally murdered in her own home
Police remain no closer to finding out who beat Elsie Hughes, 90, to death for the sake of £200
"It is believed the widowed great-grandmother disturbed intruders who attacked before making off with just £200.
Mrs Hughes was found by her daughter on the floor of the house she'd lived in for 50 years with severe facial injuries and in a pool of her own blood.''
''Despite nationwide interviews and television appeals, a £100,000 reward and a distinctive footprint left at the scene, police have never caught anyone for the sickening crime.
A hooded male seen near the house on the night of the murder is still to be traced, as well as a couple in a people carrier who may have spoken to the man.''

''Claire told how relatives considered whether Elsie should continue to live alone following a distraction burglary in which her life savings were stolen.''
''There are a number of lines of inquiry we are pursuing. One of the main ones is looking at the connection between a visit to the address by tree loppers in July last year.
"There is then a distraction burglary at the address on August 15 last year and that was followed by the murder on September 8 last year.
"Elsie lived at her home in Hawarden Road for 50 years without having any troubles and yet within two months of these three incidents she was dead.
"The inquiry is looking at what, if anything, connects these three events.''
