I suspect her awkward honesty about her own doubts told against Cilliers here. If she wanted him to be got off, as she evidently did, she could have said she had sabotaged the kit to commit suicide. But she stoutly denied it. And she seems to have left him to look after the kit. So I am not surprised the jury had no doubts about this assertion (which I don't think Cilliers' defence made last time, incidentally).
