Historically important criminals have been locked up in the Tower of London. One can hope. :)
His ex-wife should be locked-up with him. Jmo

A fine art transportation company van and multiple police vehicles have now left the grounds of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s former Berkshire residence.

Thames Valley Police have been searching the Royal Lodge estate, a few miles south of Windsor castle, since Thursday morning.

At around 4pm, a dark blue Gander and White van was seen leaving the outer gates of the Windsor Great Park, which surrounds the Royal Lodge estate, PA reported.

Gander and White describes itself as “one of the world’s leading fine art logistics companies, providing art storage, transport, installation and customs services”.

Two large police vans with tinted windows, each carrying several uniformed officers, were also seen leaving the property.

In this country, public office misconduct and perverting the course of justice are deemed to be more serious than sex offences. As strange as it sounds. On a sex offence charge, he'd probably serve a year, if that. On this current charge, he's looking at the rest of his life banged up (in the event he is guilty).
He really isn't, I'm afraid. All that the maximum sentence of life imprisonment for misconduct in public office means is that it's a Common Law offence that Parliament has never got around to setting any sentencing guidelines for. Nobody is actually sentenced to Life if they are found guilty of it. Here is a report of a Court of Appeal judgement that gives some idea of what sentence the offence attracts in reality. A civilian police worker transferred thousands of crime scene pictures to his own devices and was sentenced to 3 years. Two police officers shared crime scene pictures with their friends and were sentenced to 2 years and 9 months. The Court of Appeal ruled that neither sentence was manifestly excessive.

Is he still being held or was he released on bond or on his own recognizance?
Nothing's been announced yet, but the police have got 24 hours to either charge him, or release him on bail.

Thanks, Sky News just listed the procedure he has to go through when at the jail.
Going to be tough for "A" holding back his arrogant nasty self.

We dont have bond here. He will likely be released on bail which requires no money.

Given his position and the years of public scrutiny, it’s hard to imagine Andrew wasn’t receiving legal advice well in advance of any formal investigation. That said, he’s often come across as overly confident in his own judgment — especially during that BBC interview — so whether he actually followed that advice is another question entirely. Just my opinion.

unofficial quotes from his interview:

People say how would he do in prfison but I imagine after a few months he would go to an open prison and some of there are mainly for so called Fraud etc . The problem is ofc..is the allegations against him of a different kind.

Curious if King Charles was given an heads-up?

'What now for Sarah Ferguson? Whereabouts of Andrew's ex-wife and daughters remain unknown as former prince is arrested over public misconduct claims.'

And fergie? Is she in hiding?
I’m guessing she won’t be arrested, as she didn’t hold public office, like Andrew did with his trade envoy position.

Sky News is doing an incredible job of covering Andrew's arrest.
Here in the US we've become insensitive to those who live in the stratosphere being arrested.

How about as a co-conspirator?

The lechery is grossly distasteful but not, in the UK, illegal, at least as described so far. What does look bad, in the emails revealed, is where he appears to be disclosing sensitive information. It could be unwitting of course, and probably was, but it's hard to overlook.
