It doesn't mean anything other than an attempt at privacy and dignity.

The coroner will rule if it was accidental, misadventure or any other cause.
I was responding to comments when reports said a body in a black bag was being pulled from the water, in which some initially thought that indicated that a murderer had placed her in the black bag to hide her in the water.

Kept up with this, just didn’t post. So sad. I have to wonder if she weighed herself down. Leaving her personal items to me says she wanted them found and then she would be found. I just can’t imagine someone being that unhappy and choosing that way.

It is especially puzzling because she wasn’t alone or poor or in a hopeless situation. I guess suicide is very subjective in its reasons.

So sad for her family, thinking of them today and in the upcoming weeks especially with Christmas round the corner.

Tbf we don't know what was going on in Gaynor's life that she felt the need to end her life. Nor do we need to know the reasons if that is indeed how she came to be in the water. I expect the presser at 2pm will confirm no suspicious circumstances

Felt trapped maybe <modsnip>..or a moment of lack of judgement..I’ll just have a quick swim a bit of me time and the next thing you know an accidental death

Kind of off topic but our local football club in Norwich released a mental health campaign with the themes around checking in on people even if they seem ok. It's pretty powerful and really well done.

She appears to be surrounded by a lot of people with a lot of love for her, but we will never truly know what was going on I expect.

We don’t know that she didn’t feel alone and we also don’t know her financial position.

Press conference at 2pm it’ll just be the formalities I think - body found, family notified, formal identification to take place, no suspicious circumstances

My thoughts also go out to Julie Butcher the friend she tried to call - I imagine she’s feeling awful today and so many what ifs will be running through her mind.

You can be rich with a close loving family and still have those feelings. Many a time that is the case.

So very true. I have many what I would call 'smiling depressives' in my family.

Indeed and those very things can make you want to end it all especially when an inner happiness is lacking the absolute need to feel alive ..the person you really want to be vs what you think you should want and to be …if those things can’t be resolved internally then crisis happen

Often times its the ones who appear happy with no indication of self harm that are hurting so much on the inside. It's often a sign that they don't wish to make others feel badly despite them desperately needing to reach out.
I guess we shouldn't assume this happened voluntarily. We have no idea at present if anyone else was involved. JMO MOO

IMO
It seemed to be a sudden psychotic incident.

Starting with "feeling funny" in the morning.
And followed by erratic, distracted and out of ordinary behaviour later on.

Yes. My thoughts too. Good point. Hugs to her friend.

I guess we really just don't know what was going on for GL that day. It may have been some external circumstance that changed her life and outlook all of a sudden. We probably all know that feeling of life changing in a split second and the landscape around us then looking quite alien and different. Well, I know that feeling - quite happy, then shortly afterwards, devastated.

I know it, too. It’s awful.
