GUILTY UK - Helen Bailey, 51, Royston, 11 April 2016 #2

Few observations from the call IS made reporting Helen missing:

-Doesn't know Helen's DOB

-Takes call whilst on the phone reporting her missing

-"I left her here" - when he went to the doctors - I thought this was a strange way to talk about a partner.

-I've contacted 4 people and they've not heard from her. But hasn't spoken to his parents/her parents/his sons

-Describes Helen as very anxious/Very worried

- Says "We were/we are planning to get married." - Slip up?

- Describes Helen as a nervous, worrying person.

- Guesses height

- Doesn't know eye colour

- Describes Helen as menopausal - IS seems to think this is a medical issue.

- When describing Helen's supposed Breakdown/saw Psychologist/Group therapy - 10yrs ago - IS seems a big agitated at this point?

- Asked about medicines Helen may take - seems to over compensate at this point/ goes off on a tangent.

- Hard to abuse Helen - she would come back to you very strongly - he then raises the loss of her husband and how they met - maybe to give the impression they were on an equal playing field?

-Cold when talking about Boris: "Its pretty self explanatory" "Its male" "It wears a yellow collar" - why 'it' - Boris was an important part of Helen's life.

- Strange demeanour towards the end of the call when he was keen to know what would come of the call:

"Is there anything else to be done now?"

"When you say shortly - What are we talking about?"

"Its just a question of waiting, theres nothing else you do at this stage?"

Helen's brother John asked IS to get in touch with her counsellor to see if she knew anything. He did that, or said he did, and told John she didn't know anything. Would this counsellor not have been related to therapy of a sort, that he ought to have mentioned when asked that question?

I think he gets that point in there about himself being widowed to get sympathy. It's almost as if he thinks he is giving himself a character reference by it.

He repeatedly referred to Boris as "it".

I would imagine Boris was far more important to her than him, especially being the last link to her to her late husband. He probably knew he was never going to supplant either in her affections, and always come third in the pecking order.

Wow! Wow! That recording of his call to the police was quite incredible to listen to. He certainly couldn`t be described as an eloquent speaker by any stretch. And compared to Helen`s brother - well like chalk and cheese!
Couldn`t remember her eye colour. Couldn`t remember her date of birth. But could remember a "breakdown" ten years ago and made sure he got that in!!
He must have been well pleased with his little self when he came off the phone!
And yes - absolutely devoid of emotion (except embarrassment at not recalling basic details about his partner).

Thank you for such informative links to Zopiclone.
There are now only two ways to view Helen's death - and that of Boris - on the day of 11th April.
That it was a fatal 'accident' with drugs or a further physical action by the accused.
Or a combination of the two. And there is the question of Boris - that is murder without 'accident' of drugs!

Hi, I'm new here and wide-eyed with joy that there are other people like me who love picking over every tiny detail in these kinds of cases. I've just binge read the whole thread, I'm going to regret this late night in the morning.

I totally agree on the shock of IS' voice. In fact, my heart totally sank when I heard it, I had been trying to hope that maybe HB hadn't been betrayed in such an awful way, but as soon as he started talking I was somehow left in no doubt. It's so horrendously sad

Anyway, I hope you'll be ok with me hanging round here and contributing my twopenneth. My husband is going to be thrilled that I have a more interested outlet for my detective style rambling!

Eyes colors
I just did a small experiment to try and remember all guys I fell in love with from 45 years back. Even those I never dated or had a relationship with. It seems I never forgot their eye color. So I will end this little post by mentioning that Donny Osmond have brown eyes.

Couple of points -

The call (which is the creepiest thing ever, imo, he sounds more like he's reporting an unemptied bin than the disappearance of his beloved partner!) was a 101 call rather than a 999 call as it's being reported. 101 being the appropriate number to call, I just like accuracy.

Re the crust on the cesspool, there was a picture early on that showed how one works which indicated that the inlet and outlet both operate below the crust by design. I imagine the crust broke when poor Helen and Boris were put into the tank and then reformed over them, bar Helen's one arm.

I think even if Helen didn't have such an engaging personality and hadn't shared so much of her life, this would be such an awful case. Knowing her story makes it near unbearable.

I've just relistened to the calls. All the we's stood out for me. And calling Boris an it!
