MISSING PERSON - RE-APPEAL
Police in North Ayrshire continue to seek the assistance of the public in an effort to trace a 47 year old man missing from Dreghorn.
John Walsh was last seen at his home address in Townfoot, Dreghorn around
0200 hours on Wednesday 14th November 2018.
His family are extremely concerned for his wellbeing.
He is described as white, around 5 foot 4 inches in height, of medium to stocky build, with short grey hair and facial stubble.
Inspector David Cameron, Locality Policing Inspector for the area, said “on Friday 23rd November we received the report of John being missing and since then extensive enquiries have been conducted in an effort to find him. He is known to frequent the Irvine and Saltcoats areas but we have had
no confirmed sightings of him since the 14th November.
“We are appealing to anyone with any information that may assist our enquiries to contact us as a matter of urgency. There will be additional police activity in the local area as our search continues and
I would appeal to residents to check their sheds and outbuildings incase he has sought refuge in the local area.
“It is out of character for John not to be in touch with his family for this length of time - they are understandably very worried and we just want to know he is safe and well.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on the national non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1689 of 23rd November.
