It's the biggest part of the mystery to me - why she went with him in the first place. Her friends have apparently said it wouldn't be drugs, which was my initial instinct and the one that would make most sense in my opinion. I still think her arms were crossed because she was cold (1am in Glasgow would be pretty chilly) and I'm sure someone said earlier the CCTV was speeded up.

Yes re the arms folded and the cold - I agree......... but still think it looks like a business like walk, from both of them, going to check something, view something. - a sort of just nipping up the road for a minute........not a stroll to a car to depart for a romantic get together.

Have to agree Alyce, if they were going for a romantic get together, the pig would most probably have had his arm around Karen even just to warm her up a bit.

I agree too. It definitely doesn't look romantic. But neither does it look like she's trying to escape. Very odd.

Where can I find a link to cctv footage? Also did anyone see the scary looking statue clown like thing at the window to AP's flat, that in itself is weird and gives an idea of what kind of character he is.

CCTV FOOTAGE OF KAREN AND A.P

http://www.rte.ie/player/gb/show/10408368/

There are some adverts to go through before the report starts, and then the actual CCTV footage is shown at about 2 minutes in. I just watched it again, pretty sure he has not got his arm behind her back, at one point she is slightly behind him so she could have run if she'd needed to. It does not seem to me like he was controlling her at that point. So WHERE was she going, willingly, and WHY?

Two minutes in. http://www.rte.ie/player/gb/show/10408368/

Where did you see the clown thing? If you have a link to a picture post it. Doubt it is relevant but clowns freak me out.

This is interesting.

The next day, in a business premises close to the Sanctuary nightclub from where Karen was last seen before being reported missing, I viewed CCTV footage of her leaving the nightclub.

The manager of the business, Felicity, wept uncontrollably as she showed me the tape. "The poor girl, she looks happy, not a care in the world. If only she could have known what was going to happen. My heart is smashed to pieces, I can't imagine how the family must be feeling."

So it is unlikely AP got her outside by saying someone was ill if she was so looking happy. I think this is the cctv we can view as it isn't from Sanctuary.

Edit: after a bit of googling it seems the cctv must be from the Gallus pub, the manager of Gallus has the same first name.

Is this what you mean?

I'm not sure which flat in that block is AP's to be able to say that is his window. I hadn't noticed it before though, looks like a Halloween skeleton kind of thing. But that's eerie, makes me shudder.

So there are 2 lots of CCTV? The one of them walking down the street together (which street, by the way, do we know?) and the one mentioned above of her leaving the club?

No I edited, at first I read the article thinking it was the manager of Sanctuary showing the journalist their cctv footage but it is actually the manager of the Gallus pub. I'd already worked out before the cctv footage we can see wasn't from Sanctuary as the road was on the wrong side. The street is church st, the pub is on the corner.

There will of course be cctv from inside and outside Sanctuary as well but it's not going to made public.

His flat is on the first floor directly above this one.

Flat 1/1 means is is flat one on the first floor of a building. That flat with spooky halloween would be 0/1. Scottish address formats are quite confusing to anyone that doesn't live here.

I'm really confused, can someone please save my sanity?!

The road markings on the CCTV we have seen (there is only one clip, right?) are different to Church Street. I just can't for the life of me work out which bit of road they are seen on, which direction they were heading, and from where it was taken!

And AP's is 1/2? You're right, it is confusing, thanks for the explanation!

I don't think its the Gallus Pub as it has double yellow lines on the road outside. I'd guess it's one of the businesses a little further up Dumbarton Rd, going by the road markings.

Here is The Gallus on streetview and it's camera

OK, I've had another look, I think that footage is taken from Tribeca/Picasso (or thereabouts) on Dumbarton Road, you can see the dumpster bin on street view. Why do we think they went down Church Street?

Correctamundo Skibs. So there is another piece of CCTV footage from Felicity at Gallus, showing Karen leaving the club looking happy, that we have not yet been shown. Right?

Rice & Noodle has a camera next door to Picasso, you can just see it.

I spent ages trying to work it out, I was even turning my laptop upside down. The cctv we can see cannot be from Sanctuary as the road is on the wrong side. The cctv must be from Gallus as their bar manager has the same name as the manager who showed the journalist their footage. It isn't Church St as I can't see any camera. There is a security camera on the Dumbarton Rd side of Gallus and the road markings match. The blur in the left hand corner could be from the canopy thing over the front door.

AP told the police his car was parked on Church St but then again he told them she left his flat at 4am. Police said they walked towards Church St so maybe there isn't any proof they actually walked up it.

That is the angle of the camera, you can only see one line but they are double yellow lines. The colour quality of the cctv isn't great.

The big bins are not static, they are on wheels. There is one of these big bins on my street outside a business and it moves a few metres here and there on a daily basis. They are for commercial waste.
