Woah, wait, what? His wife is currently pregnant? Where did you get this info, have I missed something??

(I thought I read upstream the wife was on maternity leave? Sorry if I misinterpreted...oh was the child just born? I’m sorry for the confusion!! Not pregnancy leave then? Deleting my post! So sorry about that!!!

Maybe let’s both delete our posts for clarity. I reported these posts.)

I know this might be covering some old ground but...
Given what we know of where the police have been searching/have already searched closely - if we assume P. has hidden Libby - where could she have possibly been hidden where she would not already have been found? (Besides the river)

So are most people here firmly convinced the Haworth St CCTV footage shows a second person entering the car? It still looks to me more like the driver carefully lays a long coat or similar on the passenger seat. The police have unreleased CCTV of the bench area because of the grey-bearded-man (sorry to bring him up again!). That footage will presumably show any encounter between cigarette-man and Libby at the bench, and whether Libby follows him into the car or not, so I assume the police know this already. If that's not a person at the passenger side, maybe they had a creepy encounter at the bench, Libby headed off on foot to escape around 12.09, perhaps in the direction of home, and PR gets back in his car to pursue her? (But only after carefully arranging something over the passenger seat...hm, yes, I know it doesn't quite add up!)

So let's say they find Libby's DNA in his car.

Now what?

What can they charge?
They didn’t find DNA. if they had he would not be a person of interest but a suspect in her disappearance.

I think you are just pulling my leg now.

You need to edit your comment, you are not allowed to mention family members social media nor reference any information you find there.
Deleted it, my bad, thought it was just social media quotes! You might need to remove it from your post though.

I agree. If there was video of her getting in a car there would be video of her getting out. If she really got in somebody’s car they would not have just driven around the corner with her they surely would have got out of the area. If that is the case then why are LE only searching in very localised area?

You'd hope there might be some more CCTV but statistically there must be way more of the country CCTV free than covered imo

Oh wow... Interesting. Let's assume the guy in the CCTV is PR but there is NOT another person getting in the car. There have been reports that Libby may have been sighted on Beresford at around 12:09am. It could be possible that Libby crossed the road from the bench and was walking down Beresford towards home and then PR followed her - hence him setting off very quickly in the car as he leaves the parking spot. And then he follows Libby onto Wellesley and tries to get her in the car which would explain the screams and door slamming heard by the woman near Libby's house?

I will bet you a pint right now that the CCTV of the car with libby getting in is precisely how they tracked down PR who then admitted Libby was in his car that night.

What a coincidence!

There is evidence she was in his car though? You might not consider it particularly strong, but his sister’s quote and the CCTV footage certainly count for something.

I’m not sure how you could say definitely she didn’t get in his car unless you know something else.
I only know the same as everyone else but I only allow myself to consider the facts not circumstantial evidence. The police have not released any facts so everything we are discussing is circumstantial until proven otherwise.

He doesn't set off quickly.

He sits there for another 30s or so

Or literally just out for a late night run?? Wasn't it said that he 'wasn't dressed for the weather'? Could just have been sports clothing / shorts etc.

Because unlike many on here I look at the evidence and at this moment in time there is no evidence that she was ever in any car involved in this case so in fact the evidence shows she was not in the car. When I see Evidence she was in a car I will happily change my stance.

The absence of evidence that she was in the car proves absolutely nothing at all as you can't prove that negative.

Not saying your conclusion is wrong but your logic is

Actually have the police ever mentioned her being given a lift anywhere? Didn't they even say that it wasn't him in the video? And wouldn't there be flyers everywhere asking people if they'd seen the car that night?

Considering whether to follow her for a few seconds? But then the way he sets off is quickly. He does accelerate from that spot quickly.

We don’t know this. DNA analysis and confirmation doesn’t always happen immediately.

Until LE says they have “cleared” or “ruled out” this POI, his potential direct involvement is on the table imo.

This doesn’t mean one has to get tunnel vision. There are always a number of perps sharing the same air at any given time in any given space. I linked a SA upstream from Saturday.
