Has there been much discussion on how PR's original charge sheet announced by Humberside Police featured an offence of "voyeurism" on 26 December 2018...but how this charge did not appear to be presented in court.

Some of you may know that this date (26 Dec 2018) matches up with quite a high profile allegation of a man doing an act and then watching some people through a window on Ella St, of which a funny e-fit was drawn - causing a lot of attention (look it up if you don't know).

When in court, PR was still charged with one count of "voyeurism" but the date had changed to 23rd July 2018 on Edgecumbe Street. This date/place was not mentioned on the original Humberside Police statement of the charges.

Thoughts?

Yes I remember that, laughed my head off when I saw that drawing, but it does kind of look like him.

Perhaps there was just no tangible evidence to connect PR with that. Perhaps he had a solid alibi (like was in Poland for Xmas or something).

It was discussed, if I remember right someone tweeted hull daily mail but I can't remember what the response was regarding it.

I did search the forums, but couldn't find much.

Perhaps the CPS threw it out before it reached court, but it doesn't explain how - seemingly overnight - they found an extra charge in July.

The magistrates court have referred PR's case and charges to the Crown Court due to the seriousness of them.

He will make an appearance on 11th March as we know, that normally won't be a plea hearing.

This appearance is usually a preliminary hearing.

His plea hearing will be after this appearance. The March 11th appearance is just a formal hearing where he will confirm his name, address and date of birth and they will read out the charges to him, he can't make a plea at this stage. He will be remanded again pending his plea hearing at a later date unless his lawyer makes a bail application.

At the plea hearing, if he pleads guilty, he will then be sentenced.

If he pleads not guilty, he will then get a trial date usually many months ahead where he will go to trial before a jury.

His lawyer can apply for bail on 11th March.

His current charges are a Class 3 related, robbery, burglary, kidnapping and so on are class 3 offences.

There was something about Augustinias Sumpkins in the paper, he stalked someone between Dec 26th and Jan 2019

I know what and understand what voyerisum is but.... the opportunities to commit that must be few and far between? Unless you know that Mr and Mrs D schedule a weekly get together in the lounnge on a Weds evening, you'd just have to hit lucky, surely?

*possibly totally naive and over thinking this.

It can refer to any private act/ just watching or recording someone without their consent. Eg. Sleeping

I don't understand how it can be proved, unless there are photos or something.

I remember CSI (I know it just a TV drama) but they had alot of hotels people drilling holes in walls and videoing people for some reason later to be found dead. I would assume they were short of scripts but that sort of thing?

This is the charge list for PR. @Cherwell - at the bottom it said he has pleaded not guilty already

Anyway. A quick look at a map tells me most of the addresses are very near each other, and very near PR's home (nowt like sh*tting on your own doorstep, as the saying goes). Is anyone familiar with this area? is it known for being a bit dodgy?

The full charges put to PR
  • Between December 7 and December 10, 2017, you entered as a trespasser to a property in Raglan Street and stole therein of a value unknown three vibrators.
  • On January 19, 2019, in a public place namely Wellesley Avenue, you committed an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner by masturbating in a public place.
  • Between December 1 and December 4, 2017, in Hull, namely Lambton Street, you entered as a trespasser and stole therein a PlayStation 4 console, a controller and £25 in cash.
  • Between January 25 and January 28, 2019, you entered as a trespasser in Ventnor Street and stole a computer laptop, a Kindle, a speaker, a quantity of sex toys, condoms, knickers and photographs.
  • On July 23, 2017, in Edgecumbe Street, you observed another person doing a private act knowing that person did not consent to being observed for your sexual gratification.
At 10.50am, he pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.

Everything that happened when Pawel Relowicz appeared in court
I've just looked at all the dates of the offences, and they were all committed either Sat or Sun or include the weekend in the time frame/dates.

I thought that drawing was his actual double, in a childrens doodle sort of way.

Yes, placing viewing equipment or peepholes in public areas is definitely voyeurism. But casually coasting your local neighbourhood and watching someone undress or break and enter a house to watch someone sleep are too. Wide spectrum. I do wonder if the gym that we see in P’s selfies has been examined. There have been cases of voyeurs hiding/ using recording equipment in public gyms. IMO he is likely to have made recordings and the police are likely to have recovered these upon searching P’s property.

Sorry I have been busy with the Alesha MacPhail case and neglected this thread, I can’t believe how many threads there are now. I really can’t look through them all, so apologies in advance.

Has there been any mention of the forensics carried out on PRs car?

A voyeur may well record what they see (photos, videos) so they can watch it again. If they get arrested for another offence and the police find these odd things on their devices they are going to ask questions...

I was simply theorizing...and it isn't up to us unfortunately. If we are waiting, I have to think there is a good reason. I obviously don't know this for sure. Do members on here who are local have faith and confidence in LE there? Or, do most members on here think they are dropping the ball?
I think someone on here has gone over the issue of LE competance already, the case of the lady in the cemetary who froze to death despite a search in that very cemetary on the night she went missing so draw your own conclusions

The gym in the photos appears to be Exercise 4 Less, Clough Road.

LS's parents have said she enjoys going to the gym. It concerns me that they may have gone to the same gym.

Exercise 4 Less would be the closest to LS's house. Nearby, there is also JD further up Clough Road and the university gym on campus.

Not a sausage yet.
