Yes, I noticed that. It's either a typo where 'he' should read 'she', or the father has misunderstood what his son said, and associated the screams with the running man. Chinese whispers: the more people a story is filtered through, the more it changes along the way. Although if you look at what the son is quoted as saying, it is quite vague.

I'm not convinced that one can always be sure whether screams come from a male or a female though - and of course there's the ever-popular vulpine possibility!
I don't know why the man would scream though if he was up to something I would have thought he would want silence so no witnesses heard anything. If it was Libby in the park I would presume she would be screaming from fright not the man (possibly Pr) screaming with the possibility of drawing attention to himself and the activity. The article is confusing.

I thought that last week, and the week before, and the week before that.... in fact, ever the optimist, I usually think a case will be wrapped up and solved inside a week or two. Hope you're right and we get some sort of break in the case asap!

The last time I had this feeling PR got arrested.

Do we know if PR is still making an appearance in court tomorrow?
Yes PR should be in court tomorrow. I wonder if Joelle will be there again to give us a first hand report on the proceedings and how PR looks and behaves. It's great when a Hull local can do that or all we hear is very generalised info.

Maybe the feeling you have that something is about to happen is going to be proved correct!

That plastic stretcher looks ominous.

It may have been a separate incident. Men can be afraid too! Possibly the running man had been attacked, drug deal gone wrong, I dunno. Just thinking outside the box.

Have you a link to this at all? Is it Hull Daily Mail?

Of course. There's obviously a lot of speculation, particularly locally where many people have got (in my opinion) carried away with ideas of human trafficking and Polish cartels), but I'm really of the belief that it's played out in a relatively straightforward way.

My theory - he didn't set out to kill her, but he did. Perhaps by accident.

I believe he's offered her a lift back to Welly to retrieve keys or suggested waiting it out in the warmth of his car outside of her house. I can see why people have suggested he offer to break into the house for her, but I don't buy it. He's not a master cat burglar. If you've ever locked yourself out of a student house and had to call the letting agency out of hours or pay for replacement keys, you'll know it's not cheap. I can't see LS, drunk or otherwise, consenting to someone else breaking a window or door on her behalf.

He sets off from Haworth Street, ostensibly in the direction of LS's house. At this point the car leaves the main road and CCTV coverage. What happens next, I'm not sure. She's either blacked out from the alcohol or there's immediate intent on the part of PR and foul play - I'm leaning towards the former. I believe he's seen an opportunity in her incapacitation and parked up in this area close to the entrance of the park, and only slightly down the road from LS's house:
Google Maps

Somehow, he's coaxed her out of the car and into the park.

It is a big jump from the crimes he's currently accused of to murder, so perhaps it hasn't gone quite like that. I think he's tried to sexually assault or rape her, and in trying to subdue her he's strangled or suffocated her, either killing or rendering her unconscious. He's out of his depth, he's panicked, and he's bundled her into the river - which wouldn't be an easy task as it's over a steep embankment. Then he's ran. I don't think he's spent any time with her body in his car, because it's just too risky.
Whilst that scenario sounds good and ties in with screams and running man 1, I can't help thinking a panicked person makes mistakes. They run before finishing the job. They don't think. Personally I think she'd have been found.

I also think that it must be difficult to accidentally kill someone face to face. It must be quite a brutal act.

I agree with the starting point. I think he might have claimed to be a taxi or just a good Samaritan. Certainly ties in with MSM reports from his sister.

She was probably freezing by then poor kid. He's close to her age. if his wedding photos are anything to go by he looks young and harmless. Sister says girl told him she wanted to go home. I believe that.

I believe rape / assault was already somewhere in his mind otherwise she'd have been left somewhere en route. Thousands of people get rebuffed every day and just get in a huff. So I don't think her consent was an issue for him. He is already committing crimes that frighten women. He can't have failed to notice their responses.

The accidental killing bit I find quite difficult to grasp. Sadly rapists succeed in raping women every day without killing them. I can't imagine she'd be difficult to overpower.

If he hit her wouldn't there be blood found? Strangling and suffocation take time and effort. Difficult to accidently strangle someone without your conscience kicking in.

If he'd panicked after starting wouldn't he run and leave her? She'd be found even if she passed out and subsequently died of hypothermia. If he'd struggled to the river panicking wouldn't there be some trace? It's not easy to get a body into a river.

Also if he'd panicked I can't help thinking he'd have slipped under questioning by now.

I do think the Haworth road location is a ideal spot for someone with his perversions to sit and wait. And who knows what he thinks about and plans whilst waiting

Reports of a body
There are reports a body has been found near to the river in North Ferriby. It is understood emergency services were called to the area after reports of the body being found.

My blood has just run cold :(

A body found at North Ferriby.

Here's what the Humber looks like in that area. It's vast:

It may be one of men who committed suicide around New Years day :(

Is this near the quay that was mentioned earlier on ? Ohh I feel sick :(

Indeed. Let's remember that there are lots of people who have entered the Humber still unaccounted for - and likely even more that we have no idea about.
