Neighbour recalls seeing Relowicz clean his car 'for the first time' day after Libby vanishes
Brian Thornton says he saw Relowicz cleaning his car on February 1.

He said: “I saw him cleaning his car mats on the pavements with a brush or washing mats. He looked up, unlocked the car, turned the engine on, cleaned the windows and was still doing the mats.

“I only saw him for seconds, I just looked as I was walking down the streets. I didn’t take any particular notice, I had no need to.”

Mr Thornton said he recognised Relowicz as a neighbour. He says: “He had a vacuum cleaner.

“There were two thoughts that came to mind: 1 - it was a bitterly cold day, not one you associate with cleaning a car. 2 - He was lucky to get his car close enough to plug the vacuum cleaner in.”

Mr Thornton has told the court he has never seen Relowicz clean his car before. He says it was around 1.30pm.

He claimed it had been a month since he cleaned his car, another lie exposed. JMO

It certainly keeps cropping up doesn’t it. Very interested to see whether toxicology will show something in her system, if they are even still able to test for such things after she was missing for so long.
Haven't they already said they found she was 2 1/2 times over the drink drive limit? No mention at all of drugs.

If she was dead her body wouldn't be breaking down any drugs or alcohol in her system so I imagine they'd stay there as long as they didn't decompose naturally which would still leave traces of component parts.

Likewise her body wasn't getting rid of sperm thank goodness.

Her friends have said she was anti drugs and hadn't taken any and I can't see any reason to disbelieve them. I think they'd have said very early on if she had. They'd be desperate to find her, they'd have given any info they could to facilitate that.

Plus everything that's been said so far fits mild hypothermia. I'm guessing that plus alcohol is enough to explain her behaviour.

We also now know for definite that PR is a liar.

Maybe because his shoes are referred to trainers. I think. For some reason I thought sweatpants not sneakers when I first read trainers. MOO

I think its because all the photos we saw of him he had joggers on

I don't see any reason to disbelieve her friends either but I can't help wondering if he gave her something himself.

They've not mentioned anything but alcohol.

I must admit I used to be pretty useless when drunk - which is why I rarely exceed 2 glasses.

Plus I think a lot really does match the symptoms of hypothermia

Or is he just trying to slur her character? He's already alluded to a prostitute iirc. JMO MOO

Good point, trying to make out she's a sex worker on drugs who tried to jump a poor nice married guy! JMO

I agree, just suspicious of how many mentions he's made. I'm interested to hear the toxicology reports and see if he's worried about something showing up or as PP suggested just trying to slur her further. JMO

PR is not walking, he’s running. Seen by witness. Cutting any length of time possibly by half.

I’m inclined to think once Libby realised she wasn’t headed home and at the park, got out and ran (the best she could in her condition, screaming) towards the river. She’s already done half the job for him by heading to where he wants her disposed of.

Of course he wants it all over with quickly, he wants to get away, possibly to murder again. Plus she’s screaming, so he needs it to be quick in case nearby people come to check ! He was riled that night and wasn’t going to stop at Libby (later masturbation) It’s not like he has ‘issues performing’ as we can see from his exhibitionist ways, nothing to slow him down. It’s extraordinary behaviour, he was determined to do as much damage as he could that night and due to the fact he could find no later victims meant he had to settle for his public w*nk.

like other posters have said, why not attack her in the car (she was already in it, he couldn’t be sure of no dna she may have left hairs and fibres) in the endsleigh ? He had already planned to put her in the river, I thought he was stupid before, now knowing about the drone, that’s cunning and shows pre-meditation but he doesn’t deserve clever.

Having visited the park with his lad and running he’d know it would be dark and a viable place to rape .. why does he need the drone footage ?

To see the river, it’s flow, it’s journey!! ...
he could hope she’d reach the Humber, but at best he’d stupidly think the water would wash away any traces of his DNA.

cunning but not clever enough.
Agree with this

But isn't that what makes it incriminating given what else we know?
I agree, I found this one of the most incriminating for evidence of planning cover up etc
