I'm still very perplexed re the difference between the guilty vote and the jury vote. It's a big responsibility. But if you've believe he's guilty, vote guilty. That is your role. As someone said is there 100% proof werewolves don't exist?
Have faith in yourself, your opinion.
You don't always get 100% proof and you need to make a call.

Exactly.
For argument's sake, let's apply this logic to Lindsay's phone . .
You couldn't prove 100% that she didn't go out with a 'dead phone' - based on the evidence we have.
But seriously. Why would she do that? It defies any reasonable logic.

She was at her own home, actually using her phone -She obviously would have known the power status of her phone and charged it up.

Then, add the fact that she didn't have to rush out, as in had a bus to catch at a certain time so the possibly that she didn't have time to charge up would be debunked.
The fact that it was summer too, meant she didn't have to rush out for a walk due to fading daylight.

Add the fact that she was going to an area (Coppice) without power points - as in 'she might have planned to charge it up whilst she was out'.
And the fact daughter's statement that said 'she always had phone signal when she was in the coppice'.

So if the question was:
Did Lindsay go out with a dead phone? Guilty or Not Guilty? What verdict would you give?

Personally I would say Not Guilty (she did NOT go out of her house taking a dead phone with her).

It defies any reasonable logic that she would rush out from her house to an area without power taking a dead phone with her. She would at least charge her phone up to a reasonable level and gone out a short time later. But we can't prove it 100%.

Yep - here too in Latvia. Then at the end of 2021 EU is getting rid of daylight savings - how about the UK??
OMG I'm confused enough as it is.

That's the 2nd most stupid thing I've ever heard - after 'The hooded Man' story.

Seems a slow start and they are normally pretty punctual in starting.

I think if he does, it’s going to be a very big mistake.

Great post MM. But, to me, in your example, you have provided enough circumstancial evidence to say it is virtually impossible to believe that LB would have left her home with a dead phone.

So far, the Prosecution has not shown me a similar kind of evidence with regard to the Defendant having committed this murder.

This poor jury must be totally fed up already!

Jeeesssee! Knowing this case. The jury will finally get into court only for the judge to adjourn until tomorrow because 'the defence are tired and have a 2 hour journey'.

Could they not have sat in chambers this morning ready to start the trial at 2pm. I feel sorry for the jury, back and forth the whole trial

My best guess is the Defence are trying to get the case thrown out. Can't think of any other reason why they would delay the start of their defence testimony.
