GUILTY UK - Lindsay Birbeck, 47, teaching asst, found deceased, Accrington, 12 Aug 2019 *teen arrested* #5

I know... how different things may have been.. but if she was the intended target I doubt it would change the outcome.

I have a feeling now she may have possibly have been meeting someone she knew. I'm not buying the random attack story. MOO

What motive could there have been then?

I have a feeling he was given a step by step guide over the phone. If he has autism and finds thing difficult then he's had help from the murder I think. I think hes been in the coppice or around when Lindsay was killed, been told to do what he's done step by step. He's been told to take the blame as he's only a kid and will get away with it. I also think when it comes to the money it will be given way after everything is over with. In other words when he's out of prison or its given to family to collect. That's why no phone has ever been found, it holds to much info!

I don't think the jury will find his guilty of murder tho, I'll be very surprised if it is a guilty verdict. It's going to be not guilty or a hung jury.

All my opinion of course

Earlylier threads there was a video of a young male holding items coming out of the coppice area late at night. He emerged from houses near the pub

was that discredited? Can’t remember if it was a MSM video

I mentioned this video the yesterday and that it had disappeared of YouTube where I watched it.
From what I remember it shows a male walking down swinging a jacket or bag from between end terraced house 332 and bungalow 330 (footage is taken from behind). The date was 12th Aug 19 and time was around 11pm.

2:25
Jury deliberations continuing
The jury retired to consider their verdicts at 10.41am.

They are deliberating on whether to find the defendant guilty or not guilty on the charges of murder or manslaughter.

We have had no questions from the jury since they left the court room.

We will bring you further updates as soon as the jury return.

Yep, he came from the field with the chicken sheds in.

The field runs behind Burnley Road from the Whittakers Arms to the to the end of the row of houses LB lived in. It extended up to the The Coppice at its northern boundary.

I believe this CCTV was used by the prosecution.

It is rather sinister!

Slightly OT (not about this particular trial) but how many of you have ever been on jury duty? Just curious how many of us sleuthers have ever done jury duty before- I haven't and I don't actually know anyone who has! Wondering whether anyone on here has been a juror on a similar type of case and how long it took to deliberate/reach a unanimous or majority decision.

I’m still waiting for the call, I know people who have been and half the time you wait around doing nothing and don’t always get allocated to a trial.

I looked on google maps the day I watched it which was in March this year to confirm where it was and recognised the large window on the house.

Just looked back to messages to my friend on WhatsApp as I sent her a copy of the video from my phone which I’ve deleted and had a conversation with her about the time being 23:18 and how briskly he walked down totally unaware of the CCTV.

I’ve been asked once in 1998 but declined as it was a couple of weeks after my eldest had been born - it was for Manchester Crown Court.

I've said this all along, I also find it strange that she got changed to go for a walk into what appears to be a collared shirt? Seems a little odd...

I was called but had to decline as I was part of the thin blue line.

Obviously, I've stood in the witness box a good few times!

I have but it was in a coroner's court

It’s going to be really hard for the jury I think. I think he’s not done the murder but I also don’t believe the stranger story I believe someone known to him was involved. But the jury can only go of what has been said in the court and the evidence and not to speculate so I’m really not sure where it’s going to go.

My brother in law was on the jury of this trialhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-scotland-tayside-central-41346177
He passed out when seeing the exhibits of the murder weapon!
The guy has since seriously hurt someone whilst in prison.
