Only missing since 11.40pm last night, so I wonder what has sparked such a quick investigation? It is my neck of the woods, hope she is found quickly.

Do you know the area she was last seen?

She is just a little thing too, not even 5 foot.

Really hope Lynn is found safe soon. Looking at those current Missing Persons at Scotland police, we know Alice has been missing around New Year, the next female missing before that is Nusrat Jahan 2017. So Scotland has been relatively safe for females the past few years.

The area is full of shops and pubs/restaurants and the Uni/students halls are all in that area. It is a very busy area, though perhaps not at that time of night on a Sunday. There should be plenty CCTV though.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for a 45-year-old woman who remains missing in Dundee.

Lynn McPaul was last seen around 11.40pm Sunday, 23 January on the city’s Perth Road near to Strawberry Bank.

Extensive enquiries have been ongoing since she was reported missing and members of the public will be aware of an increased police presence within the community while this work continues.

Searches have also been ongoing, including support from a number of specialist police search resources.

Sadly these have proved unsuccessful and Lynn remains missing.

Inspector Keith Anderson of Downfield Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Lynn the longer she remains missing.

“It is out of character for her not to be in touch with anyone for this long. We are keeping her family fully informed as enquiries progress.

“We are continuing to work to establish Lynn’s movements since she was last seen and I would urge anyone who may have seen her at any time since late on Sunday evening or who has any other information at all to get in touch urgently.

“We also urge anyone who lives around the Strawberry Bank, Richmond Terrace and Magdalen Green area who may have dashcam, private CCTV or doorbell camera footage to review this and pass on anything of note to us.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference number 0157 of 24 January, 2022.”

Lynn is described as white, around 4ft 11in tall and of slim build with shoulder length dark brown hair. When last seen she was wearing a black knee-length coat with a white Nike logo on the back, and distinctive white Nike Air Force One trainers.

The area she was last seen in has the university playing fields nearby, and of course the River Tay.

Local information is that there has been a body found at Broughty Ferry beach. This is literally in the last few minutes, so it will be awhile before any identification is made.

Police on Magdalen Yard Road this morning.

The 45-year-old has not been seen since 11.40pm on Sunday at her home on Perth Road, close to Strawberry Bank.

Several police units were part of a search operation on Thursday morning, as concern for Lynn’s welfare grows.

Police were seen entering blocks of flats on Magdalen Yard Road whilst other officers were using large search sticks on Windsor Street.

Residents said officers had been asking for dashcam and doorbell camera footage during their inquiries as the search area widened.

On Wednesday night officers were checking outbuildings and gardens in Strawberry Bank.

‘Completely out of character’
Speaking to The Courier, Inspector Keith Anderson of Downfield Police Station said: “We are continuing with extensive searches and police inquiries in order to trace Lynn McPaul.

“It is completely out of character for her to be out of touch with her family for this length of time.

“We are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare the longer she remains missing.

“Search activity is continuing around the area today and we will have a number of specialist police resources dedicated to helping find her.”
