I just looked at the Sky News front pages feature. Sadly the antics of a couple of Big Brother "celebrities" are deemed more important than a missing 3 year old, on one front page.

If anyone finds a 'last seen' time/date by anyone other than a family member, can you post please? I am having no luck with that. Mikaeel went to kindergarten because his teacher was interviewed, so I think he should have been there Thursday. Unless his being unwell had kept him away?

Cops saying more than 40 ppl turned up at the local council office to search for #mikaeelkular lost in#edinburgh. Hot tea and coffee too.

From these plans it seems possible the twins could have slept downstairs away from mum and their siblings. Do parents among you think it's likely three year olds would be given that room, a floor away from parent?

I know nothing of the area where this precious boy lived but my parents' home was very large (6 bedrooms and 7 baths) Two of the bedrooms were in the front of the house while the other four were in the far back of the house. The sleeping areas were separated enough other rooms to make hearing a child from back to front impossible. There were two outside doors between the front two bedrooms and the back 4. Two more entryways were in front of the home with a 5th off the master suite. Four children had bedrooms in back. My parents and I had our bedrooms in front. The youngest child (my sister) had her room near the eldest sister who was 12. While it seemed a bit careless by some standards, we were safe because we had an intercom system. I am not sure if there was something similar in the flat but could have been judging how high tech the entry is (Video security entrance). If so, I would not be afraid to have the children on another floor. Without an intercom I would be hesitant.

One possible reason for having the youngest on the bottom floor is in case of fire, they'd be rescued quickest. Another could be that if the eldest child were downstairs then sneaking out at night would be more likely in a parent's mind than sneaking out at 3 (if that is what happened).
