I can imagine that it would be quite disturbing and disruptive for the other children to be stay in the home during this time, especially with all of the police activity in the home and general area. I would not want my children staying there, if it were me. JMOO

So Mikaeel lives with his mother and 4 siblings. The 3 oldest siblings are Mikaeel's half-siblings and their father lives on the same street as the man was detained yesterday morning.

It is unknown who the father of Mikaeel and his twin sister is.

I wonder if his mother knows who the man is (my husband's ex does not know the identity of the man who is my stepson's biological father) and whether police have been able to question this man. I wonder if he has any relationship with the children.

Do we know if there are other potential people in Mikaeel's life who may have had an interest in Mikaeel?

I would say that it is not abnormal. I feel like we are seeing it more and more that the families stay out of the media.

Channel 4 recently aired "Catching a Killer - Crocodile Tears" which discusses how so many of those in recent years that have appeared in the appeals have actually had some involvement - maybe the Police are not wanting the family to be 'tarred with the same brush'.

It's a reply to a tweet. Asking if any more help is needed searching. Edinburgh police replied not today, looking like tomorrow morning (saturday) at 8 West Pilton Gardens. Think that is the community centre address where volunteers have been meeting up.
