I agree zwiebel, the detectives would have been asking all the same questions we have, and would have been pushing her hard.

Soooo.....wonder if the people who directed such foul language insults towards those trying to find this babe, are quite so vociferous now?

They may want to forget they devoted all their time to protecting adults close to this case, instead of helping for the search for our little Allah's Angel. The internet doesn't forget much though.

Talking of which - I would love to know what any forensic computer records might reveal in this case. Caylee searches, anyone think?[/QUOTEH

Here is my thinking on things like this. I understand WS TOS and it is a good thing and I try to abide by it. But my personal opinion is this ... Any adult , guilty or NOT can recover from a wrongly pointed finger of suspicion in their direction. Any child , in harms' way cannot recover if you fail to look at the most logical perp when searching for them. PERIOD. The adults will get over hurt feelings but the babies will not get over death, injury and molestation at the hands of an adult. I'd rather be wrong on the side of the child and apologize to the adult than vice versa. ALL DAY LONG...........moo!

Earlier some one said you dont know how someone would respond if they have previous dealing with social services.I have 1 preivous dealing, My son was born premature and had a drug in his system... automatic call to social services. The drug was a headache medicine the doc gave me, shouldnt have affected the baby at all. But it did. He is perfectly fine ( took his first step today at 8 months old) But when my abusive ex left and I took out a restraining order he tried to bring that up to the judge. He also took my son to the ER because he had a red spot on his leg... having had to deal with them once before I was terrified. I thought they would blame me and use it against me. The red spot was exactly what I knew it was... he knees were red from learning how to crawl... but I was still afraid. If my lil bug was sick or hurt I would call 911 ( 999 in the uk) but others... who knows? I havent read all the news stories since they found him but i have a feeling it was an accident or a stranger or perhaps one of the other kids... as for the mom knowing someone who was involved in a gang? I know 2 people involved with MC's both are decent enough guys.. they are both out of the gamgs now... but knowing them doesnt make me a bad person.

There is the same fear of child welfare investigations in the uk too - my family member works in that area. I guess it is the same feeling you would have if you were committed unfairly to a mental institution, trying to tell people you were sane.

The gang culture is very limited in the UK though. Nothing like the US. You kinda have to go out of your way to be connected to it if you are over 25, I'd say.

Have not been posting...but as soon as I saw he was "sleeping alone that night"...I knew. Whenever there is an unusual circumstance...it is a lie, IMO...or almost always.

I wonder if the ANPR system could have picked up her car journeys? They'd know early on what cars she has access to just by getting the names of immediate family and friends. I'm sure there's cameras on the Forth Road Bridge too.

Thank you for replying about gangs in the UK, I wouldnt really know too well. Where I am many are in a gang of some sort or another. I am in St Louis Mo. My step family way back when was connected to the Mafioso. Here it isnt unusual to be connected to some form of gang or organized crime.

I've lived in the community where mikaeel lived all my life (drylaw) & dread to see the reaction on the streets in the morning! Proud to be from this area with the support every1 has given & time spent!

Mother been detained, which in Scotland, means questioned! Think they can only hold them for a period of time before either arresting or releasing them although I think they must have had sufficient evidence to detain her so soon to this little angel being found!

Makes me sick to the stomach thinking of scenarios!

RIP u beautiful little boy! Xx

I just can't.

The people of Edinburgh, LE, Firefighters, RAF SAR, everyone who jumped into action and banded together to look for a lost boy demonstrate that there really is good out there. There are far more decent people than bad. That helps me keep my faith in humankind.

RIP Mikaeel.

Also, the mood in the UK will not be a pretty one in the morning. They (we, xpat) take this kind of thing hard. Whether mum is guilty of anything or not, I'm sure LE has her and family stashed safe. Just in case.

Yeah, goin by her fb page & the comments being said under photos people are
Fuming but then they need to remember she's not actually been arrested but us in Scotland are hard faced when comes to situations like this.. People
More annoyed at the fact that if she has got something to do with it she's let the authorities, the helicopters out for 3 Days & people of her own community search for him all the while knowing, beggars belief!

The man she was associated with was shot in a drug fued between himself & other dealers .. So who knows who she associated her children with as says the guy occasionally took kids to nursery :(

The above ain't speculation it's fact from what I know living in Edinburgh, news papers n ppl who knew of the situ etc! It's a capital city although it feels more like a small town as every1 knows some1 of some1! I was shocked to see I have 5 friends in common with the mother on fb!

Sad sad news nonetheless! :(

Also fife is where she stayed up until 2 years ago & mikaeel had seemingly spent his early life there! Think it's Kirkcaldy / Dunfermline in fife which is a small town within fife as fife is a county, a huge area, with small towns within it!

It's an hours drive from drylaw over the forth road bridge & there would be lots of cameras from here to there so probably where the police got most of the info!

Also speculation but people saying he may have been where he was found for longer than the mother said she last 'put him to bed' this could be a reason she is being questioned .. Just a thought!

I just want to add to my earlier post. I forget, sometimes, that while I live in CA in the US and people go missing all the time here, I'm English.

The population of the UK is around 60 million, less than CA alone!

Child abduction/missing cases are fairly rare and when they happen the whole nation gets involved on a personal level. Look at the April Jones case, or Holly and Jessica in Soham.

Sarah Payne was found close to where I lived in Sussex at one time.

These cases resonate. The whole country has no time for child murders. I don't know if this is some kind of collective paranoia after the Moors Murders, but it is a very real thing.

Just wanted to add that as my personal perspective.

Yup & that is fair enough but you never, unlike this mother, allowed him to take your kids to nursery while he was alive & (if he was like this guy we are on topic about was) a high profile drug dealer within a city! IMO

Well I'm 28 & have never seen anything like this happen in Scotland before, hope it doesn't ever again either! But yeah that's why the community have rallied round as it's not familiar with us, kids involved we're on the case! Spose that that is the overall thinking of the UK as a whole! Mini detectives out in force!

I would think the whole world has no time for child murders, I would hope anyway ... not the UK alone!
