Emergency services searching for a man missing for more than 24 hours have issued an update and fresh appeal.
Nicholas Degraff was reported missing at around 12.40pm on Sunday (December 12).
Cumbria Police said the 23-year-old left an address in Great Clifton at around 4:30am intending to walk home to Workington but did not arrive.
He was last seen on Rosemary Gardens, Great Clifton at around 5am heading westwards towards Workington.
Nicholas is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and with short, brown-coloured hair. He has tattoos on his face and neck with spacer ear piercings.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jogging bottoms, work boots and carrying a grey-coloured drawstring shoulder bag. He also had an Alsatian dog with him and had in his possession a “3M SPEED GLAS” black welding mask - likely carried in a bag - which would be quite distinctive if found.
Multi-agency searches are currently ongoing in Great Clifton area and along the River Derwent and a coastguard helicopter was spotted over Workington yesterday afternoon.
