so if you use this break in the fence (how far is it from where the dog was left?)- you come out where?- would that be a place for a vehicle? Are you still herding or dragging NB a certain distance without attracting any attention?
busy road to enter and leave to a waiting vehicle for an abduction imo ( at that time in the morning. 700+ vehicles are driving thru the village in a short time frame )

Springplease added another exit option ( Continue your exit along the tow path, under the road bridge. Brings you out into green open space but with few options to get to a waiting vehicle ( nearest road I can find is this one, Paddington Ave. Here's photo of the head of that cul de sac. Same problem. Very noticeable for an abduction scenario imo - you'd have to cross the field )

If you exit the "private" gate, providing the riverbank beyond it can be safely navigated on foot, and carry on walking, the first place you would come across is 'Alder Lodge'.

Wonder if they have CCTV at the rear.

Route along river bank from "private" gate, leading first to Alder Lodge

I think referring to the vehicle on the driveway as a red van is a stretch, the vehicle on the left appears to be a large mpv, the red vehicle is smaller, unlikely imo to be a van and neither are scruffy looking as the van mentioned in msm, quite the opposite in fact.
The photo is from 2019. Since when is the media always correct? An MPV is essentially a van.

JMO This is one of the only cases where I am thinking 'stop speculating so much'. There is nothing new. PA said everything reasonable in the description of the events - he thinks someone in the village knows. PA is not guilty. He's a suffering man. Police said 'go home' to him. IMO <modsnip> Lancashire police, remember have a brilliant record of convictions. We just need to find NB. Then find who is responsible. I have very strong feelings that it was someone local. PA said - everyone knows everyone - it's there! JMO All the Strava things, man. Police will know ten fold! Let's not do weird 🤬🤬🤬🤬 by posted her travels. That's weird in itself! We don't need to know that! Do we?

Keep walking beyond Alder Lodge and eventually one would encounter a road which seems fairly quiet/isolated...

'I have to categorically say, I cannot fault the police in any of this. They have been incredible and the relationship that we have working on this, is still very, very strong, it's very good. So this isn't any criticism of them at all'

If the media keeps referring to the children as 'hers', not 'their', does that mean her children will have to be placed with their father?

It wasn't the media as such, it was quotes from eye witnesses relayed through the media.

So the witnesses could have seen a dirty (unclean) van?

I've seen this on clips and it is actually a gate, there is a painted sign on the gate saying "ST(?) PRIVATE" and there is a metal latch and the gate can be opened.
I wonder if it’s for the fishing club?

They are with their father, Paul.

A fellow WS asked me about motives in an earlier post so I started a list of all those that I've seen be put forward. One that wasn't on the list was an altercation about the dog being off the lead with someone so obsessed and angry about the issue that they could become enraged. Could NB have been involved in an argument, a tussle, with someone local who is obsessed with the issue of people letting their dogs off the lead, and been accidentally fatally struck or pushed over? Discounting the dog being tied up with string at precisely 9.33am (which has always seemed oddly precise to me), there's then a large wedge of time before the abandoned dog and phone are raised with the school. That would be ample time to find help to remove a body, get some string to tie the dog up, and pose the scene. Perhaps even be there in the early stages to point the Police at the river. Plausible IMO.

That's a strange question. I'm not sure how it helps explain what may have happened to NB.

Probably about a five minute walk if that

I think you would walk around the edge of the field if you were going to Paddington avenue but it does look a bit too exposed. If you walked along the river there are built up banks either side of it maybe you would be hidden?

Does anyone know what a "clough" regarding drainage is? I found some factual official minutes from a meeting called "Wyre Making Space For Water" from 24 February 2022 in which references to a "clough" which "will not shut" and "a sinkhole" were made. This appears to be in a field very close to the bridge in question in St Michaels.

Might be nothing but thought I'd throw it into the mix...

"...a local farmer has exposed a clough from a private drain on the river bank to the north of the bridge which was inoperative. UU have carried out a survey of drains from houses but the findings have not been shared.

Investigations have also been made to confirm the ownership of the drain with clough in Gresty’s field opposite the Church. This confirmed UU as the owner. It is reported to FLAG that the drain has been jetted on behalf of UU but that the clough will not shut so this may need replacing if not capable of repair. Apparently a sinkhole has been noted which may also have impact on the flooding of the A586 to the south of this field."
