I’m getting really stumped by this so I’m looking at the timeline and location info differently take. from the information on the police link.

8:45 Sighting 1: enters the gate by the bench.

9:10 (thereabouts) Sighting 2: in the upper field away from the bench (yet we don’t know the direction of travel)

So, IMO could the following be possible;

Enters the gate. Sits at the bench. Let’s the dog off the harness, dog plays, she does emails. Logs on to call. This could have been brief (do we know what time it ended). She’s happy, a bit distracted, has EarPod in. Decides to continue walk. Calls dog, walks towards the upper field, forgetting harness/lead/accidentally leaves phone, as if walking in a loop and something happens further up stream near the mobile home park. Have they searched the lake there or the static caravans??

I’m literally clutching at straws now.
I think the crooks of my point is that the first sighting was near the bench and the last one was away from it. This is MOO and happily stand corrected.
Perhaps something happened to have NB leave the items at the bench and she headed towards the fields?

Willow feels so pivotal in this whole thing. If only they could talk

I’ve got a horrible feeling about this but hope for her families sake my gut is proven wrong, how do we know it was Nicola herself sending the work email or logging onto the teams call, could it be whoever had her phone before it was left near the bench? Something hasn’t been adding up from the get go and I can’t pin point why when I stay so far away and don’t know the area. The fact she does the same walk is provoking a horrible feeling this wasn’t a random gone missing case and potentially pre planned
But she was sighted after she sent the email and the call started? So are you suggesting she didn't have her phone with her on the walk and that someone else had it the whole time?

Potentially yes, are all these sightings reliable? I’m clearly expressing moo not making any big accusations, trying to keep an open mind.

It can be pre populated, I know this as I don’t have to enter my password to get into my kids ms teams

Well, the sightings are from people who know NB so who knows

It just made ITV national news. Family asking for people to come forward.

The divers on the clip were using their guide ropes to get into the water it was quite a drop
They also said the water at the bench was 4 metres deep.
So now I'm back to thinking she was sitting on the bench and got up for some reason to look near the river edge

That’s a very good point actually - I’m sure they would be able to track it to where she was though IMO.

Another thought if she has gone in the water non-deliberately. A seizure?

After seeing the footage from the other bank facing across water towards the bench I didn’t realise quite how high/steep that was to be honest. This is on the news footage with the diver climbing out. It looks really slippery to me.
I was waiting for my son from school several years ago. A lady in her mid 40’s - younger than I am now - came round the corner and quite gently nudged / scraped about 4 cars before coming to a stop. Despite all efforts - some medically trained parents - she passed away. It was a stoke . No previous symptoms. I am not suggesting this happened here - especially as the intensive search has yielded nothing as far as I am aware but possible ?

Unless the suspect walked with her back to the bench? But then where would they take her?
This is why I'm not convinced it's a very practical avenue. She would need to be forced/dragged some distance to a vehicle, or she's still in close proximity to the location unfound. I can't imagine her dog would have just sat there and not followed either.

JMO.

I find it strange that when Willow was found running free, she was tied to the bench and left. If the owner was nowhere to be seen, I'd immediately think something was wrong. I'd put her lead on and take her home with me, even if I had an appointment to keep.

Edited to include link.

Obstructive gate potentially

Yep. Unless the dog was tied up and then broke free?

After looking at the walking route video, the idea of an abduction just seems too implausible especially with Willow staying by the bench and them leaving no signs of any struggle or being seen or heard, and no where nearby to go or get away easily.

I strongly feel she never reached the area where the phone and dog were found.

MOO
I am also coming to that conclusion. I am thinking that perhaps if she is in the river, she went in somewhere which borders the upper field.

This was a regular route for anyone potentially stalking her to know her movements. But still find it hard to see how soneone could have got her away from the area. How far is it to nearest point where a car could be parked from that bench area?
