It’s reported that the new witness sought was returning up Allotment Lane to Garstang Rd so are they asking for another witness to definitively fix NB at the park? It’s not like she was seen there circa 9:20

  • #362
The fact there is no cctv of her at all says to me that there are several possibilities of what has happened.
Are we sure there is no CCTV of NB, or that for whatever reason LE are not releasing it?

  • #363
Why wouldn’t this witness come forward and why has ‘she’ not been recognised?
Maybe she’s been busy looking after her child/children and hasn’t had time to watch news bulletins. I’m sure if she sees the appeal or when someone tells her the police want to speak to her as a witness she’ll tell them whatever they want to know. But considering she was ending her walk just minutes before Nikki was starting hers, I’m not sure what she could tell them unless she saw someone acting suspiciously - which seems unlikely as she’d have come forward earlier had that been the case.

The police haven't said, so no we don't know if they have any.

But this woman in yellow did her trip (possibly to shops) before Nikki had started her walking journey.

I can’t see the relevance?
Perhaps to see if there was anyone looking suspicious or shifty in the area before NB reached there maybe. MOO.

Interesting take from a criminal psychologist in today's Mail Online. He thinks certain things aren't adding up and that the police could potentially be holding their cards close to their chest re potential foul play. Sorry if it's already been referenced...

Here's the article link: Police 'examine Nicola Bulley's Fitbit data' on day nine of search

No criticism of you Cherrycola but these talking heads jumping on the bandwagon with comments like that one irritate me, just because LE have specifically said it's currently a hypothesis, an assumption they are operating on.

I am really struggling with the idea that the business owner found her mobile and lead by the bench, the harness near the water and a distressed dog and decided a normal course of action was to tie up the dog, go to her appt, then tell her daughter in law. <modsnip>

Yes mine lasts almost a week and I use it all the time to tap to check time, pay for things with it etc
So was the Fitbit trying to sync with her phone or was it giving her phone a notification like it was running out of battery? The police had her phone, so did they take it back to the river? Was the Fitbit in house? The Bluetooth range is limited? So the 2 devices have to be in close proximity to each other? I’m not tech savvy so I don’t really understand how it could be n close proximity 4 DAYS AFTER?

So does that mean NB was up 100ft away from her phone on Tuesday? Or someone that had/has her Fitbit ? How could that be? Surely the police forensics had her phone then?
We don’t know if she had another personal mobile phone on her. The other one may have been a work mobile. JMO.

Sat here reading everybody's comments and it's just occurred to me, that there is absolutely no evidence of anything. No CCTV to suggest NB was even walking from the school to the bench, no CCTV of her driving the car to the school, no real photos of what she was wearing, was the phone and harness even on the floor - who knows, no evidence! <modsnip> What was NB doing the night before? We don't know - what was her life like prior to this? We don't know.

<modsnip>

JMO.

The police ideally need to ask the owners of this property at least.

3 houses up from the entrance to Allotment Lane there is a house with possibly three cameras.

Possible ring doorbell, and 2 IP Cameras fixed to the front and corner of the property.

Surely it has to be the reporter taking it out of context and the friend meant the Tuesday before. Presumably the police still have the phone somewhere, so how would the Fitbit possibly sync?

I think the school would have been able to confirm that it was mum that dropped kids off and probably kids also JMO

If it’s 16ft deep at that point how are they wading in it? I’m sure there’s the odd spot here and there that’s deep, but in the main it’s nowhere near that depth

Maybe during heavy rain the water comes up the edges of the bank and it’s 16ft, but not at the moment
It’s definitely between 15 & 16ft deep at the part where the bench is. The police have confirmed this, as does the warning sign on the tree by the bench, which says “DANGER DEEP WATER” and that’s up all year round.

The pictures you’ve seen of police divers wading are wading further along the river. However, even a depth of just 17 inches can carry a person away in a tidal river. But this part is 16ft deep, hence the rubber dinghy’s.

NB spent the night before with her family and parents. There is information out there.

No, it's not wrong to want to get to your appointment in time. We've discussed this at length in previous threads.
Seems like this one is asked and answered but for what it’s worth I agree that there is nothing weird about not letting a lost dog and mobile phone, without any more sinister suggestion around, take over your own day.

OMG if this is true there still could be hope

I asked before about the date for this (which Tuesday)
But if it needs to be within 100ft of phone to sync it can't be the Tuesday after NB went missing as the police then had possession of her phone

I think if the police do have images of NB that they should post it to try to jog someone's memory, imo. Sometimes trying to imagine what the person who is missing was wearing and what they looked like is very different to the reality. My mind is rubbish at trying to imagine something from a written description and I can't be the only one.
