Sorry yes there’s no talk of headphones although AirPods have been mentioned.. but nothing conclusive…I didn’t read she was wearing headphones. I read she usually put her phone on loudspeaker.

That river path runs to the Iron Bridge on Blackpool Lane and not Garstang Road. That's what is confusing to me. LP have said the river path that leads to the fields upto Garstang Road. I feel as if my head is going round in circles. I don't know maybe the local Police use Garstang Road/Blackpool Lane interchangeablely since it is one continuous road.I think it's the one she entered by, walking by the river from the bench downstream, river on her left hand side. I would be calling that Blackpool Road, but hey ho !
There's a few pics up the thread not too far. For clarity I'm going to have to find out how to post pics here aren't I ? Pity the police don't too![]()
It's very frustrating. Hopefully if they do find her body, they'll at least be able to get the data to help determine exactly what happened. It doesn't help find her, but it may help answer some questions. This is what I've been thinking about, whether the data goes anywhere else or if it can be accessed in any other way other than syncing, ah it is so frustrating!
Yes that’s the only way I can foresee foul play now - I’m struggling to see how she left the area unless it was willingly. JMO.Police might be asking just so they can 100% rule it out, I'm not suggesting there's anything in that idea. Potential-perp-wise I'm keeping it simple, pushed into the river, perp either quickly exits unseen, or remains in the area. Don't want to say more on the latter cos it's the rules/TOS.
On my Apple Maps it shows as Garstang road not Blackpool lane - perhaps that’s the mapping system the police use!!That river path runs to the Iron Bridge on Blackpool Lane and not Garstang Road. I beginning to think the same now if that is the only exit unaccounted for it is a real long stretch to think anybody could commit foul play along along that route. IMOYes that’s the only way I can foresee foul play now - I’m struggling to see how she left the area unless it was willingly. JMO.
The river path definitely starts on Blackpool Lane. That's the way NB entered the inner field. I've posted a Sky News link further up thread that shows that.On my Apple Maps it shows as Garstang road not Blackpool lane - perhaps that’s the mapping system the police use!!
I'd argue not, given the diving specialist's change in view expressed today. MOO. The police will have info that we don'tThe sad thing is, there is as much evidence that this has happened as NB falling in the river
Note there isn't any CCTV.The river path definitely starts on Blackpool Lane. That's the way NB entered the inner field. I've posted a Sky News link further up thread that shows that.
In fairness, without an eye witness there is rarely evidence of someone entering the water. I hear you, I do but..The sad thing is, there is as much evidence that this has happened as NB falling in the river

I don’t really give a stuff what his personality is like, just as long as his sonar equipment is good. Not sure why PF is getting so much hate for offering his services..
He (along with many people on here) seemed to find the idea of NB being in the river implausible. Since the basic info put out by police is changing on a daily basis (timings, clothing descriptions etc), why wouldn’t he question their work…a lot of us on here are?
This is a professional who has being in this exact field of work for decades. He likely has more experience than the specialist teams initially deployed by the police.
He also has far superior equipment than what has previously been used in the search. Can you honestly imagine him sitting at home and not offering to help, all the while knowing this?
Finally he says he spends most of his day to day working for police in the southeast. Why would he need the exposure provided by this case? It’s been his job for over 2 decades.
All I see is one of the best in the business offering to help in a situation that requires precisely him and his team.
All my own opinion. Edited to change from southwest to southeast.
Nicola's phone was on the bench believed to be on the bench found at around 9:33. The witness made numerous enquiries to try and find the owner of the phone, not knowing whose phone it was and, indeed, whose dog it was.
Is it on or believed to be?
The only way to resolve it is to find a direct interview with one of the witnesses or NB’s friend. The police language just isn’t clear.
When you say "local police" I don't think it exists ny more. Even for minor incidents they might be sent in from somewhere like Fleetwood/Blackpool/Poulton/Wherever. They almost certainly wouldn't know for sure where Garstang Road becomes Blackpool Rd.That river path runs to the Iron Bridge on Blackpool Lane and not Garstang Road. That's what is confusing to me. So there’s a possibility she wasn’t captured on CCTV the whole time. We obviously don’t know whether she was captured on dashcam. JMO.Note there isn't any CCTV.
Agree, but myself, I think there would be a slip mark, or they would have found the dogs ball/toy in the river, or a welly, some sign of NB belongings/clothing, or worst case scenario, NB remains. The fact nothing has turned up as of yet, combined with how quickly LE responded to this particular missing person case. That's all I'm running off.In fairness, without an eye witness there is rarely evidence of someone entering the water. I hear you, I do but..

I‘d rather he started the other side of the weir though, just to be thorough.
Ive no doubt the police have searched that with a fine toothcomb but for the sake of argument - if she were stuck and went over the weir tonight, they’d miss her as they‘d be downstream tomorrow.
