Im that first video he says the middle, next to where she potentially went in, is 3m-4m deep? I thought everyone had been saying 50cm?

Interesting development. Especially as he mentioned the rocks near where she potentially went in too. He says she'd be able to hold on to them, but only if she didn't hit her head on them first.

IMO

No idea
he says it's a foot deep there so that would be about 30cm.

And yet we've all watched police divers going in and out of that spot and it looks far deeper than 30cm unless the divers are actual midgets!

If you look at the old photos of divers at the spot, you can see the water is up to the diver's bum, while standing in the water, at the edge. A foot?

I think that weir might well have the hydraulic towback effect. If it is only 350m from where she went in and she was a strong swimmer then IMO it is more than likely that she would have managed to remain afloat until she got there. If it does have the effect mentioned then there would be no escape .

They MUST have searched under there by now. Surely.

This is the weir in Wales which caused the drownings of more than one .

It is nothing like that weir.

That-what-mus-not-be-named-s.

WS is a victim-friendly forum and there are very wide and very strict bans on the discussion on some possible means of disappearence (depending on the exact thread and mod), as these are seen as not victim-friendly. I might not agree with the presumption that either of these banned options means that "the victim is responsible" or is victim-blaming in any other way, but I shall not name them, as I don't want to shut that tread down to anyone and as more detailed discussion is therefore complicated anyways.

We do not speculate on a victim somehow being responsible for their own disappearance or death unless there is information from an official source to indicate that is the case. Mental health/depression/suicidal ideation, voluntary disappearance, etc. is not a known fact. No unwarranted speculation about possible affairs or potential mental health issues.
You should have been here for the Sherri Papini case. It was a nightmare. Always being closed.

Yes, but he said, at the edges it is very shallow, and I don't think you wouldn't fall in to the middle of the river

Not necessarily, as they said in the press conference, 'We have searched within a mile radius of where she LAST went missing'. Look where the evidence is pointing thus far...
So are you saying she may have done this before? I did note in the very first original presser that the policewoman paused for quite a long period when asked about the question ‘would you say this is out of character?’ 6.25 in the video below.

Edited to add - this would explain why there was a quick response by her partner PA.

I agree, it's very strange!
Mentioned this yesterday and was laughed at... but the resemblance is uncanny.

I think it only points, rather sadly, to the perils and pitfalls of social media. If you thought Nicola had a 'perfect life' then...

Anyone watch Motherland? Sadly a sad, if amusing reflection of life with kids at Primary school, the humble brag re: Motherland...I could go on, the evidence is there...

If you like, you could put us out of our misery by telling us what this evidence is and where it is pointing.

Well we had people saying they saw people in a pixelated background that was a broken fence panel. Those were taken seriously.

This is something too similar to not talk about. Not going to presume shes a suspect but maybe the cctv was wrong? Like mentioned the kids clearly would say their mum dropped them off at school but that CCTV looks far far too much like Emma. Maybe she was there that morning and helped load the dog into the car - if that wasnt mentioned then its something to look at.

To me, this would be something to look at further with professionals. If the police are not I would be surprised.

It's very common for friends to mirror eachother IMO.
So I don't see anything out of the ordinary in NB and EW dressing or looking vaguely similar.

Anyone who's interested in limbic synchrony should read this........

He says a lot, but perhaps a vsual aid would help us understand. Would it be unkind of me to suggest he gets dressed up as Nicola was, and jumps/get pushed into the river to show us how easy it is to get out.

Maybe they meant to say where she was last seen

No, I don't think she's repeating previous behaviour etc. IMO.

I think the pause, is likely (IMO?) <modsnip - no link from an approved source> in other interview she said more would be revealed at the right time. This is looking increasingly like a very delicate and sensitive situation I feel.

It is nothing like that weir.

I'm not sure you can judge that from the top. You would need to see the underwater shape of the weir below the waterfall. They do vary.

I know of a lock on the Thames which has two weirs which to all intents and purposes look exactly the same. "A" weir has a special anti scour sill below it because it has a road across the weir and the "B" weir doesn't. If you were in the River and ended up in A weir you never get out of it but if you go into B weir you go straight across and carry on down the River.

I've seen this in action when large logs get caught in the A weir. They can stay there for days or weeks on the weir with the anti scour sill. Nothing ever gets trapped on the other weir. Look at the weirs and they seem the same.

It does seem unlikely there would be much structure below the weir in question but as there has been upgrade work there it isn't impossible it has a sill and the shape of the discharge below the weir is interesting in the Geograph picture.
