Danyal Hussein, 18, appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court

The teenager stood in the dock wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey tracksuit bottoms, but did not enter a plea.

During the three minute hearing he spoke only to confirm his name, address, and nationality as British.

There was no application for bail. Hussien is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, July 6.

I'm really glad this is moving ahead quickly, but I think I'm not that knowledgeable on how fast these processes are, but there just seems to be a speed with this one. I really hope there's justice and it's a fair amount of punishment.

I'm also very intrigued on why this happened and how, but my thoughts are with the family and the loss of these beautiful girls is just heartbreaking.

Magistrates to Crown Court can be anything up to a week gap, so if we count out the week end, this is a 2 day turnaround.
Perhaps they are trying to act swiftly because of the criticism they have faced so far with this case.

17 miles as the crow flies maybe, but you cannot get much further apart and still be in London. It would take more than an hour even by public transport. Very odd.

It will be interesting to find out how he got there. And the motive,of course.

I'm leaning toward mental illness, but how he ended up throws a bit of a wrench in that.

MOO

Found a Danyal Hussain on Facebook from London, looks about the right age.

the spelling of Hussein is with an e which makes it a bit more unusual

I've found the road he lives on in Google Earth. How ok is it to post that?

Probably best not in case he lives with other people, but I'm not sure.

I'm glad they have got him, if it is indeed him that is responsible. Could he have been a member of one of the other groups that were there that night ? I just cant see any other reason for him to travel 17 miles to a random park, not knowing if anyone would be there at that time of night. Interestingly, the sketch of him does not show any bandages or wounds, which you would expect around the hand area, if he sustained a "significant injury". Could it have healed up already ?

I was wondering about him being part of the other groups too. But that's the only reason I can come up with too. Because how did he get back to his house that night. With his injury and the lack of transport, unless he drove but if it was a significant injury, I assume maybe he couldn't.

That is a good question, how he got home ? Did he have a bike maybe ? But again, with a significant injury, how would he have cycled home ? I am curious as to whether he lived alone or with parents and if so why didnt they spot his injury ? Were they covering for him or just in denial ?

The only thing I can think of @Mellowmelly is him being a part of one of the groups and staying at one of their homes. But surely they would of known - His injury would of been a dead give away but also I imagine, coming in late? But maybe they were asleep.

On the parents front or living alone, I think it's a complete guess. But you would of thought somebody would of seen the injury, unless they did but because of the distance, didn't think anything of it?

That's what I was thinking, if he stayed over with one of the group then they must have known. Maybe his parents dont watch the news or didnt connect the dots. So many questions, hopefully soon they will be answered.

I am also leaning to him being part of one of the groups in the park that night also. Given another south London arrest was made early in the case perhaps there was a group of people from south London there that night
