The notes are so unusual. I mean, why write over the top of other words? There was no paper shortage, unlike when the Brontë sisters were writing, and had to be very economical with their use of paper. I don't think I've ever seen pages being overwritten in this way.

So when I read that her notes included the Doc's name and "Tigger+Smudge" and hearts I was imagining it would be something similar.. which would have been weird enough for a woman in her 20s to have written. But the reality is something else. I find it really disturbing and the fact that one note was found in a file at work! Did she sit there at work writing like THAT?

Is there a forensic psychiatrist due to testify atall?

I’m sure both the prosecution and defense had seen these notes a long time before the trial, plenty of time to get an expert opinion on LL, or maybe she refused to be evaluated? Her writing just screams mental illness IMO. Maybe she just had a psychotic break due to the stress of her situation, as her life did seem to revolve around work, I imagine she was completely lost and frantic at the prospect of never working on the unit again.

In fact, a psychiatrist testifying could be of benefit to the defense, if they decided that she did have a breakdown due to being suspected, especially if she’d never shown signs of mental illness before it could atleast give some explanation to these notes. As right now they are very damning to her, if they explained them as the frantic writing of someone suffering from an acute mental episode it could be beneficial to them. Unless she has a history of mental illness that isn’t being disclosed by either the prosecution or defense, in which case it would be brought up at sentencing if she is found guilty.

I just don’t understand why we haven’t heard from anyone who has an insight into her mental state at the time of these writings. They seem this far to have been introduced without context, and I’d imagine if the defense were going to introduce a witness to testify to a mental illness then the prosecution would have found their own too, so it seems unlikely there will be a psychiatrist/psychologist testify.

If guilty, (in addition to the stress of the accusations and whatever happned with the Doc) the notes might reflect the stress of suddenly having no access to any potential victims and no opportunity to return to the scene of the crime(s) anymore. If the June frenzy of alleged attacks was possibly caused by being away from all of that for just a couple of weeks whilst on holiday, imagine the reaction to being kept away from it all indefinitely. Withdrawal symptoms on a grand scale. If guilty. ALL IMO

I can categorically say this is the WEIRDEST trial I have ever followed ( and the longest )
I’m on a deadline atm so can’t post much but I read everything most nights and I am staggered.

I think the 1st thing in such a situation is to hire a lawyer and follow his/her instructions to the letter.

Clearing the house of all incriminating evidence.

Police questioning only in the presence of a lawyer.

I agree, this is well worth a read! It makes one wonder if her tremors were actually related to thyroid as she discussed or if she was actually epileptic and had a seizure of some kind. Thinking back to the equipment in her house again now.. Which could also be absolutely nothing/from previous owner but I don’t think many people would keep a previous owners crutch in their bedroom.

Quoting my own post as it's just occurred to me that the notes were found at LL's first arrest in July 2018 so the line in the first blue note about police naming her can't be correct as she hadn't been arrested or named when the note was written!

I think the arrow between cons and police may mean "went to" or "going to" and the redacted name may be Doc Choc which would then make the sentence

Doc Choc and the consultants went to the police naming me (obviously no evidence and would have been spoken to but still upsetting)

Then the references to disciplining in the second blue note may be about Doc Choc and the consultants (sounds like a band name lol) , maybe LL wanted them disciplined for giving her name to police?

I think we may hear more about this in the coming days; dr choc and how that panned out, or not.
I also noted she mentions “Cork” in one of these notes. She had a discussion with dr choc about cork too if I recall? Holiday or her dads work or something.
