Oh yes, I totally get that. Just feltbtheb
Oh yes, totally get that. Just felt the need to point out that, in reality, he's not. I'm sure that she'll have been told that by her defence counsel but it must still have been a shock hearing him speak, probably for the first time in years.
But he “could be” because we’ve not yet heard all the evidence. It really could swing either way so we don’t actually know.

here’s a long shot and Im trying to figure something out. I’m genuinely wondering about her use of the word “killed”. For some reason it jumps out at me and features in plenty of the notes.

for instance if someone is confessing to the crime of murder do they use the word “killed” or ”murdered”? I don’t know if I’m just getting caught up on the neutrality of the word.

Or "I can't do this anymore" could just mean generically keep going.
And yet oddly she wouldn’t take time off as suggested from the consultant around the death of 2 triplets-baby Q. Similar to back when we hear that her colleagues suggestions some time off/worried about her and she dismissed it.
Interesting actually, she said something back then when a colleague suggested she should “talk to someone about it” and ll replied she couldn’t or something- I can’t quite recall her actual response now, but that conversation intrigued me.

Very strange imo.

Or “ I can’t do this anymore “ meaning I cannot continue deliberately ending the lives of tiny premature babies.
My opinion only of course.

To be honest, if I were innocent and accused of murdering babies, I’d be writing some pretty unhinged notes too! Still, not saying she is, but I can imagine being out of my mind with worry if I was innocent and dealing with this.
I would be very worried and concerned too.Especially if innocent. But I don't think I would write 'I AM EVIL I DID THIS' or I killed them on purpose...' or 'no one will ever know what happened or why I am a failure.'

Me too, and that's pretty much what those notes say to me, someone very disturbed by what's what's happening to them, someone out of their mind with fear, disbelief, worry and helplessness. I'm not seeing guilt in them. That's not to say she's not guilty, just that these notes do not imo point to guilt.
How about the ones that say 'I AM EVIL I DID THIS'. I killed them on purpose...'

  • #467
If that degree of disturbance was her usual state of mind, it's hard to believe that it wouldn't have shown itself occasionally to her friends and colleagues. Nobody can keep up a facade 100 percent of the time, or can they...?
Some people can. Especially if they live alone and can isolate themselves much of the time.

This could be somebody just imagining that scenario. Somebody who analyses stuff through writing about it.

Has any evil killer actually said those words, I wonder? From what I've seen on documentaries, etc., killers generally deny what they did, or even if they confess, they never see themselves as evil.

It sounds like the rantings of a person trying to work out what is happening, possibly under the influence of drink?

She seemed to be quite sociable, though.

I KILLED THEM ON PURPOSE.
Not sure how that can be misinterpreted to be perfectly honest sweeper.

I'd presumed the notes were written when she had been moved to the office role and the investigation was ongoing.

Re a note about the birthday

It looks like she was communicating directly with the dead Babies IMO.

And then tried to camouflage it by writing something else above, below and over.

All notes have suicidal vibes - especially the one with a song.

”killed them” “killing me” I’m just wondering why it is that specific word Thats reoccurring? Nothing to do with any specific quote.

"Kill" has a blunt meaning - to cause the death of somebody.

I cannot detect any ambiguity here.

Just a thought: "I can't do this anymore" could mean I can't help those babies who have died: they are beyond her help.

But she is not doing that anymore. She had not been trying to help those dying babies anymore for quite some time so I doubt that is what she was referring to. JMO
"No one can help me" could mean nobody can help her to get back to doing the job she wants to do, i.e. helping babies.

This isn't even my opinion, just another possibility.

But she had filed a grievance and she had people actively trying to get her job back for her. And she was still employed by the hospital who had been standing by her for awhile.

Things I might 'doodle' if I was falsely accused of murdering babies:

- I AM INNOCENT
- HOW COULD THEY THINK I WOULD DO THIS?
- WHO DID DO THIS?
- WHY AREN'T THEY TRYING TO CATCH THE REAL KILLER?
You know, I don't think I would put it in those terms if I were falsely accused of murder, tbh. I think I'd be much less coherent in that situation.

It's strange how "Today is your birthday" is written on 2 separate notes (white + yellow). It was clearly an important thought imo

It’s a morally neutral word.

I agree. I said a few days back that if this has been her personality for years then the people closest to her, such as family and friends, would likely have known.

MOO, obviously.

noun: killing; plural noun: killings
  1. an act of causing death, especially deliberately.
