The latest I followed that collapsed was that teacher aka Tulip who blindfolded her bf in bed, stabbed him to death and then buried him in her back garden.

Mahek Bukhari (AKA TikTok murder trial) collapsed in December. Judge is now summing up in the retrial!

When I post the reporters tweets, there is always about an hour break in the middle of their reporting---they even say 'just returned from lunch' sometimes...

I can't tell you if I imagined this or if it was told to me when I did jury service, but I think the judge has to be available when the jury is deliberating, to answer questions and take notes about verdicts or other matters etc, and so when he is at lunch the jury is also not deliberating/at lunch.

That's so interesting as the prosecution discussed her case as if it were 3 attempts to kill her, then successful. I guess is it pointless to charge her for both as Murder 'trumps' AM??

Yes, I’ve read before in other cases that they won’t accept a verdict between 1pm and 2pm (during lunch).

Imagine dedicating almost a year of your life listening to such harrowing details, cancelling plans and holidays, forgetting where you used to work back when you had a normal life. And then you finally reach a verdict, relief washes over you. And you have to hang around waiting for the judge to finish his sandwich.
