I guess that's what me weird feeling about the 'note' from the jurors was about. I wonder if it is the same juror who often needs the time off?

Such a shame for the families ..it always seems to be a Monday or directly after a Bank Holiday

From the Chester Standard:

“On Monday, July 17, trial judge Mr Justice James Goss said only 10 of the 12 jurors were present, and that meant no deliberations could take place.

He said it was not yet known when the next day of deliberations would be able to take place.”

:oops::oops:

It’s a Monday, we have all over done it on a Sunday night when we know we shouldn‘t! I hope lots of water helps and all are back together in the morning. Sorry for my bad thoughts, I just feel so desperately for the families.

It was the men's Wimbledon final yesterday but it's not usually that much of a piss up occasion tbh.

This is giving me a horrible feeling. On past occasions, the Judge has always cited juror illness. Nothing today, just that 2 jurors are not present. The wording seems odd to me, but then I’m probably just being cynical.

It is weird for two of them to be off.

Just hope it's something minor and not down to bad feelings amongst the jury

You would think the absentees could ring in advance to let the court know, to save everyone a wasted journey.

Yes I thought that

It is possible that they do. When I went there and it was called off the judge said he "was made aware over the weekend" but I think the jury and everyone still has to attend to hear the news from the judge in person.

Can jurors just decide to leave if they' feel like they've had enough and can't continue?

I'm sure it must be very stressful for them.
