Considering additional suspicious deaths, she seemed (allegedly) to be "out of control" ALL the time, not only at the end as NJ KC said.

Also
How STRANGE that her parents read "victim statement"!!! and not she herself at the Trust meeting.

Curiouser and curiouser

Yeah, that seemed strange to me. Surely it would be more usual for someone like a union rep to read it, if the person was unable.

Sorry if this is common knowledge but were all of the victims of murder or attempted murder multiple births?
No, some were, some weren't and I think two babies were originally twins but the other twin had been lost during the pregnancy.

Not all but a disproportionate amount compared to what one might expect. I think twins make up about 10 percent of the NICU population but in this case over 60 percent had a link to a multiple birth.

With any kind of workplace grievance you're normally allowed to take either a colleague or union rep in with you. I've never heard of anybody taking their parents in with them.

I was just remember the mention of the twin list in utero. Shamefully couldn't remember which family it was. Awful to go through that loss as well.

I guess the whole campaign against the hospital and Trust were orchestrated by her indignant parents.

Parents for whom their "perfect daughter"
(who was the 1st to enter University and follow "dream career")
could do NO wrong.

For me, she always looked somehow passive.

Not that I blame them, mind you!
They are parents.
And they fight for their child.
As all parents usually do.
I see it every day at school :)

Baby Q had a twin that was growing outside of the womb. I vaguely remember it being reported that another baby had a twin who had died in the womb but it may have just been somebody referring to Baby Q's twin in that way.

So that would make it that A,B,E,F,J,L,M,O,P&Q who were all linked to multiple births, leaving C,D,H,I,K & N as the singletons. That is the 60%

It must be some kind of clue!

I'd highly recommend this upcoming series on Youtube, which will examine Lucy's background and personality.

Listen to the introductory video (it's really just audio) and subscribe for the subsequent episodes.
He's done quite a few of these character analyses: recently a fascinating series about Sinead O'Connor.

Oh, I didn’t realise they could choose not to attend the entire trial.
They can and that choice must be respected as regards a person who is not guilty until the jury returns a verdict. Its crazy that a convicted murderer cannot be compelled to attend.

Apologies, clicked reply instead of post . The 'post' button seems to have disappeared?

Bet the witch loved getting an apology from her superior, superior, imo.speculation.
''Aug 18, 2023
The doctor who helped catch child-killer Lucy Letby has told ITV News that babies' lives could have been saved if hospital bosses had contacted police sooner. Dr Ravi Jayaram, who is a consultant paediatrician at the Countess of Chester Hospital, said he repeatedly raised concerns about his former colleague months before police were alerted. In an exclusive interview, he has detailed to ITV News how executives at the top of the organisation at the time told him to “draw a line” under his suspicions and to apologise to Lucy Letby for his accusations.''

I've been wondering. Did LL set out on her career with good intentions?
I wonder if she was inadvertently negligent over one infant (maybe towards the start of her career), and rather than speak up and admit her mistake, she panicked and could see her career and reputation going down the pan so kept quiet.
But then when she may have experienced sympathy and attention etc over the loss of a baby, she experienced an unexpected thrill? This could have been a trigger for her?
Gave her a sense of power, which she may not have experienced before to that degree.

Its crazy that a convicted murderer cannot be compelled to attend.
Court is the place of the utmost solemnity.

Sometimes, during the sentencing emotions run high.
Some people from public gallery shout obscenities at a defendant, or a defendant behaves in a vulgar way.

I remember that during sentencing in American Court, family of victims attacked physically a defendant and a fight started.
(Mass shooting in supermarket)

So
To prevent a Court resembling a circus, nobody who is unwilling can be forced to attend.

But I agree that it takes courage to take the sentence with dignity and remorse.

But let's be real,
these are criminals.

If they want to stay cowering in their cells, let them.
Good riddance!!!!!

"I killed them on purpose" says it all!
I think she thought her dad would take care of getting rid of the notes, as he’d probably been successfully clearing up her messes her whole life.
