"Prince Andrew is spotted riding his horse at Windsor
as court documents reveal he emailed paedo financier Jeffrey Epstein
'we'll play more soon' -
two months after he claimed he had cut him off."

"Prince Andrew
wrote email to Jeffrey Epstein
telling him to 'keep in close touch'
AFTER date he claimed he'd cut him.

The Duke of York sent a bombshell email pledging to 'keep in close touch',
despite claiming he had ceased all contact with the American financier weeks earlier.

The new evidence
suggests Andrew may have lied in his infamous Newsnight interview.

He insisted to Emily Maitlis in the disastrous 2019 grilling at Buckingham Palace
that
he had stopped seeing Epstein in early December 2010,
when they were photographed walking through New York's Central Park."

Angela Rayner described Prince Andrew as “that nonce” and tried to prevent him from being eligible to deputise for King Charles over his links to Jeffrey Epstein, a new book has claimed.

The deputy prime minister reportedly contacted Buckingham Palace and senior civil servants in a bid to remove the disgraced Duke of York from a list of royals who could step in for the King if he is abroad or incapacitated…

We don't want him stepping in, sheesh. Why can't he be cut off like Edward?

Do you mean like Harry?
I hadn't realised Edward had been cut off? He's rather low key compared to other Royal Family members, but I thought he and his wife are stepping up more these days with other RF members unwell?

Otherwise I agree good idea for Prince Andrew not to step in! Look at the title of this thread for one thing, even if he was pardoned by the Queen.

Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, has definitely not been cut off.

King Charles depends greatly on him and his wife Sophie.

King Charles III gives brother, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh title for 59th birthday

King Charles III is giving his youngest brother a birthday gift that can't be wrapped with a bow: a new royal title.

Buckingham Palace announced Friday that the king gave Prince Edward, formerly known as the Earl of Wessex, the title of Duke of Edinburgh to honor the prince's birthday. The title was created in 1947 for their father, Prince Philip, who died in April 2021.

One of Philip’s legacies is the Duke of Edinburgh awards, a popular youth activities program set up in 1956.

"The new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are proud to continue Prince Philip’s legacy of promoting opportunities for young people of all backgrounds to reach their full potential," Buckingham Palace said.

Here's what to know about Prince Edward, Queen Elizabeth's youngest son, and his new title...................

Sorry I meant Queen Elizabeth's uncle who resigned

Got it! "Edward the 7th soon abdicated and so a George was reinstated."

I imagine that being the King and then abdicating is somewhat different to being a member of the RF who has never been in a position to abdicate. JMO

"Chinese ambassador

secretly met Prince Andrew at Royal Lodge

after car-crash Newsnight interview,

court documents reveal.

1738625848517.jpeg

Andrew's closest aide,
Dominic Hampshire,
ensured that then-ambassador Liu Xiaoming was able to bypass certain security measures on the Windsor estate
by submitting the licence plate number of his vehicle in advance
so he could drive through the main gates and avoid waiting paparazzi.

Xiaoming was hoping to discuss Pitch@Palace,
the duke's Dragons Den-style investment vehicle which had launched in China the previous year
with the help of Tengbo Yang,
who was recently named in court documents
as an alleged spy acting on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party [CCP]."

"Prince Andrew School
to drop 'negative' name
as pupils asked to suggest more 'neutral' replacement.

1738882917468.jpeg

A school named after the Duke of York
is set to be rebranded to something less ‘controversial’.

Prince Andrew School -
the only secondary school on the remote British overseas territory of St Helena.

The decision stems
from ‘recent public controversy’
and ‘negative media coverage’,
and has been approved by Buckingham Palace,
a statement from the government of St Helena said.

The tiny island sits in the South Atlantic Ocean some 1,165 miles west of mainland Africa,
and has a population of around 4,000."

The issue with the British royal family is that they often seem to view their "royal duties" as an obligation, rather than living as regular people with real jobs and only occasionally making official appearances. They could take a cue from other European royals who lead more normal lives while still fulfilling their ceremonial roles. The Dutch are very good at this. It's also somewhat misguided for kings, queens, and heirs to expect siblings to devote their entire lives to duties they never chose, and not provide them them with a trust fund to help support their personal lives. Unfortunately, British aristocrats are not bound by European laws that require families to equally provide for their children when there is wealth to be shared.

Sure but this is not the cause of Andrew being an awful person

But the Royals do not expect siblings to generally devote their entire lives too duties they never chose Ie Andrew and for that matter Edward did not initially but...those siblings are provided with money to help their private lives. They do not do it for nothing.

We actually have a lot of members of the Royal family and for the most part they do have normal lives.
