I saw all of his comments about "protecting" as protecting himself, not others.

In terms of minimizing SH's role- there is still too much unknown about their relationship dynamics for me to speculate on why he is doing that at this point, though.

Wait, what was the fake name the takeaway was ordered under? Sophie?
The poster is JP sister. She's been spouting off every time a post related to the case is put on the fb page. Seems to think it's everyone else's fault for her sister being involved...

Is there a disparity here - between the angry and impulsive NM we have heard about, and the NM who sits in court seemingly not becoming wound up by the accusations and questions? something isn't adding up with his admission and his answers to questions and the deep anger issues and hatred/jealousy we've heard about.

I don't get the impression he is lying except about the killing and SH not knowing, and that, although being a HUGE lie, could be explained if he was doing this because he is protecting SH and his and Becky's families.

I think that's what it is, for me. He comes over as a protector by nature and that is why the killing part isn't making sense to me.
His defence would not have put him on the stand if they thought anyone could easily get him to throw his toys out of the pram. There is a strong possibility that he has received medical/psychiatric help for his issues since he was taken into custody.

I agree about the protector instinct, it would take a lot for someone to overcome that natural instinct. But now thinking about it a little more perhaps he viewed her as an outsider not worthy of protection.

NM says his physical condition 'doesn't stop me having strength' when questioned if he could have carried out his plan to kidnap #BeckyWatts

Wonder what it does stop him having then!

Maybe I'm not allowed to say it here, but for some reason SH makes me think of Tracie Andrews.

She was the "innocent victim" when her boyfriend was attacked and killed by a stranger in a supposed road rage incident.

Pleaded not guilty, but found guilty of murder by the jury. Later admitted guilt when in prison. Omo

Can't see why there would be a problem saying that.

There seems to be a trend over the last week or so of fewer and fewer people believing that SH is anything other than an equal partner in this. If the same thing has happened with the jurors beliefs then SH's defence are really going to need to pull the rabbit out of the hat before they retire to consider their verdict.

I seem to remember a quote from JP in regards to the cash for hiding the items as ' a payment towards something' like a holiday or household items . Sorry Paraphrasing there.

Deposit for a house I believe she said. Not sure if it's the same sister who gave evidence but surely if it is she shouldn't be spouting off on social media...

Eta it is the same person - seems to go by two last names
..what is it with people constantly using different surnames

Maybe 2 different surnames could arise from 2 "fathers" one being maybe a birth father one being a step father.
Or. Maybe having her mother's maiden name. Then her mother may of married. And she took on the married name of her mother.

Yes I know that I just don't understand why it's become so acceptable/fashionable to keep interchanging your surname

Sometimes used on a low wage/benefit area. Some work more than 1 job. Less complicated for tax purposes using 2 different names. Ahem. Lol

Yes indeed. I'm guessing P is her official surname as that is what name she appeared under in court. As I say though I doubt she should be spouting off all over social media

The revelation of sexual frustration and details about NM and SH's sex life are quite interesting from a "clinical" point of view.

SH suffered pain while having sex and he was frustrated. He couldn't perform with a prostitute because she actually wasn't interested in him. (Wow!) He needs to feel loved? Wanted to have, and did have threesomes because that seemed to work for him but SH would get worried and somewhat jealous of the other woman.

So to relieve sexual frustration or to find an outlet for it, he watches 🤬🤬🤬🤬 almost everyday and sometimes within hours after having sex with SH.

My guess is he needed more and more and more excitement in order to perform. He needed much more and he had to escalate his requirements.

I'm rambling, I know. Why is he protecting SH as much as he is? Why? Could it be as simple as he blames himself for his plan gone awry, which stems from his sexual frustration and involving SH or could it be more?

That doesn't make any sense legally.
But I'm sure this kind of thing is taken into account as an aggravating factor when sentencing.

Perhaps that's why she started yelling at him!
Hey Cherwell - I've been on a mega shop at Ikea today so not been around.

Have we been told by anyone other than hearsay from a friend of JI that the man and woman friend says Jamie told about was definitely Shauna and Nathan and not perhaps Karl and Jaydene?

I'd be more concerned if Jamie himself told the court that the arguing was from Shauna and Nathan.
