Hoare admits lying about the messages: "I knew what Nathan had been charged with, I knew what happened and I knew how bad it looked".

Hoare felt "panic" when police showed her messages. Initially denied she was anything to do with them.

So basically lied then

perhaps it's a way or trying to diminish any sense of motive on SH's part?
ie. BW & SH had a good reln. - intimate stuff, hair, clothes share, ordering meals behind NM's back....

Which doesnt quite fit with SHs statement about hardly knowing Becky or having little to do with her

So the cheque was in the attic - wtf?!

Do you know what this cheque is and it's significance - first time I have heard it mentioned, but then i am playing catch up with all you guys. :blushing:

just looking at that picture of the front of their house, how did NM manage to bring a trolley up those steps? wouldn't have been any use inside the house either. weird explanation.

it suggests to me that she wouldn't settle with her placements, that she was problematic, unless it is normal to be passed from one to another so many times
I don't think it's uncommon for children to be moved to different foster carers - people's circumstances change and often if the fosterer has no desire to adopt they don't want the child to become too attached. Also, we don't know if the 4 children were together, apart, 2 with one foster placement 2 with another etc

And was ok with the long term lie about NM living at CML when she was meant to be the only official resident. So SH can lie when she wants to.

a cheque sent to Becky by her gran for her birthday to buy some shoes, went missing. her gran said she had to send her another one. the first one was found at NM/SH house by police.

Becky's grandmother sent her a cheque and it disappeared and was found at NM's house.

Granny knew it had been found there though, so not sure when she found out or if its the same one that was found in the attic.

So presumably this was after the police had told her in detail what had happened ?

Hoare: "He [Matthews] had a very interesting sense of humour, so people would either understand it or they really wouldn't."

I think I read above that she was placed with just her sister

Becky's grandmother sent her a cheque to buy some trainers but Becky never received the cheque. Her grandmother re sent the cheque. It was later discovered that NM had the original cheque ( how I cannot recall, will try and find the link for you )

Could this be the relevance of BW giving SH clothes, to suggest that the cheque was inside a pocket.

A relative had given Becky a cheque, Nathan - thinking that Becky didn't deserve it - took it.

[h=3]'I panicked when police found Facebook messages about kidnapping girls'[/h]The jury is now hearing about the “ so-called kidnapping messages”.
There were 13 messages sent between Hoare and Matthews by text or Facebook from last November to January this year.
Hoare said her reaction was “panic” when police quizzed her about the messages.
She admitted lying to cops - saying she had not sent some of the messages last December.
Hoare told the jury: “I knew what Nathan had been charged with, I knew what had happened, I knew how bad it looked.”
The jury heard Hoare later admitted she sent the messages.
