Can I double-check that with you Mjojo as I have never heard this mentioned before ( new to trial) - that day BW dies was step brothers' NM's birthday!?

It was Dan Watt's birthday. Becky's brother. Becky was murdered on her brother's birthday - as if things couldn't get any worse.

According to the above in pros opening statement he says that SH talked very negative about BH when they were first interviewed by policy outside her mom's house. I hadn't realized it was that soon!

That would have raised alarm bells in any decent PC's mind. She was full of it wasn't she, she must have really thought they would get away with it and this was to help throw them off the scent.
Otherwise she would have been clever, surely[?/B], and not reveal all those criticisms of Becky as well?( If you were guilty, but also a manip liar why would you make such criticisms to the cops. I must be missing something)

Later on once arrested it was " a nice enough girl....who didn't deserve that" sharing of clothes, dyeing hair etc.

Acoustics in buildings are a strange business. I once lived in a ground floor flat, and I could hear the sound of the dog rolling a ball across the (carpeted) floor of the flat two floors above me. Nothing else, no voices, music, TV, only the rolling ball.

Yes acoustics are bizarre, we live in a semi-detached stone house (with foot thick walls) and barely hear anything of our neighbours aside from the landing lightswitch going on/off. Weird!

Monday Court begins 10.30am
The 2 other Defence Barristers -for JI and DD - will be up first. My bet is 40 minutes each, tops.
Then Judge begins summing up and directions. I reckon that will take remainder of the day at least ( could be longer ).
If Judge gets finished before end of Monday, might just be enough time for Jury to go out and at least pick a foreperson.
So, on that basis, real Jury deliberations would start Tuesday morning.

My bet is no verdicts next week, so much to go through, even if the Jurors are all agreed on every verdict ( unlikely ) I feel they would still want to go through everything, to be thorough and feel they have done the best job possible for Becky.

I think she hated Becky more than NM and I think she encouraged the hatred towards Becky by winding NM up I think she was starting to see Becky as a threat. All just mo

I definitely think she wanted the attention plus knew how to manipulate so yes, that's how she came across. Has to be best for the child now, that she is fostered - what a life.

What do you think of that Shauna Mum quote " she doted on him............he didn't dote on her"?( Sorry don't have a link)
This didn't come across in any of their interviews..

Another thing - I discovered (only now) that Becky has a much older sister, by her Dad's side. Don't know if she has more sisters/brothers or not. Does anyone know? I only knew about Dan Watts...

A third thing - To have had statements from AG and DG was very useful in my opinion. Mainly from AG as she was the one at home after the hospital apointment and passed all that day (awful bl*ody day) at home with the criminals. Don't you think that as they didn't show any statement or interview by AG or DG it was so sad they only referred DG words about Becky and just words where she was spoken in a bad light?

So many things lacking in this trial, imo. I reiterate what I think. The prosecutor did a poor, poor job in court. He had to have foccused in many other things he didn't.

Before the verdict is known, I would say that if SH gets away I can't help but think of the prosecutor's lack of coverage of many more details to remind the jury.

Don't take offense. I had to say this as it is stuck in my throat

Interesting when you think of this part of the interview:

Firstly, the part about punishment seems more important now - either she is backing up NM's story about kidnapping to teach her a lesson ...... or she was the one who thought of the idea and this is its first airing?

Secondly, what the hell has any of this got to do with SH anyway? Did she not notice the state of her own house, her own life? Unemployed, on benefits, living in a pigsty with a boyfriend who apparently made all the decisions about her life for her?

Yup most parents will be used to listening out for their kids. Almost like a sixth sense or some form of super hearing.

Especially when they hear absolutely nothing, that's usually ominous.

SH is completely deaf it seems. Never hears anything.

Aye, in her interviews SH always stated that NM was the one who really disliked Becky, but SHE was the one who really showed in her words her hatred for her.. She was the most incisive when she spoke about Becky. She couldn't help not even disguise, could she?

ase only goes one way, that’s to Becky Watts, and all who loved her. ( Unconvincing )
Says abuse doesn't provide Shauna with defence - Says relevance of abuse - does it mean what you say and do is different if you could just be you? ( She will have told the Pros that she couldn't be herself in the relationship I suppose.)

I think Shauna's mum may be feeling some guilt and blame for Shauna being in this mess, as you probably would. I don't think Shauna doted on him I believe she loved him and he did her they were just a time bomb waiting to explode I believe they fed each others desires.Shauna was very wise for her years and I'm guessing she learned to manipulate and use her female charms from a young age she probably felt very unloved as a child not understanding why she was going to live at different foster homes (not a excuse for any thing that has happened I might add) as we have found out Shauna was allowed to go out with Nathan stay at her home so I'm guessing Shauna was a lot more grown up than some girls of 14/15. Nathan although older I don't feel was very smart for his age probably his mental age was more on par with Shauna that's why the age gap didn't matter ( I always think women mature faster) I also think this personality trait goes on to attract likewise people ie The Wests Hindley & Brady, Bernado & Homolka I think we begin to see a pattern of these couples becoming a team. Hope you can understand what I'm waffling about way past my bedtime
