Thing is the bathroom wasn't spotless. The bath was clean but that's about all. There was till a grotty carpet on the floor and all sorts of other debris in there.

Yes, which makes it all the stranger ... they must've removed that stuff and then returned it afterwards, it's the only explanation if Becky was ever in there.

I also wonder if it would help to explain if the same could be said about NM's DNA results. ie. If he hadn't already admitted to it would the DNA results confirm that he did use the mask or would they be able to argue his DNA might just be there innocently too?

What a pickle we'd be in if they were both denying all involvement!

which evening was it the neighbour heard the sound of something heavy like a bed being dragged around? I doubt that would have been Becky's body being moved that they heard.

Clio, maybe it would be useful to add this info to your fantastic timeline?

It's bizzare. If they did go to the lengths of covering everything with plastic and cleaning to the nth degree, how come they left the boot liner in the back of the cooker? Why not get rid of the stun guns? Why leave the power saw box in the bedroom? I guess they just ran out of time and moved what they considered most incriminating perhaps.

Forensic scientist questioned by Shauna Hoare's defence lawyer about the realibility of the DNA found on evidence.

Doesn't bear thinking about. Thank God there's the CCTV of him buying the saw and that he asked somebody else to move the body, that meant he couldn't deny it.

I think we could all see where this was going but damn.

This still doesn't prove that she knew nothing about it though. I feel the defence are going to have a hard time convincing people that she was in that house whilst all this was going on (and accompanying NM on shopping trips to buy items for the clean up) and yet was blissfully unaware.

I didn't add any details from SW's testimony as it was somewhat discredited. When initially interviewed (24/2) she said she'd heard nothing unusual. It was only after NM/SH were charged with murder (4/3) that she told the police what she'd heard and "when".

Yes, looks like they may have to rely on circumstantial evidence. I hope the prosecution have got a bloody good summing up prepared.

if she didn't know anything there would be no reason for her not letting the police in to have a look.

Yes, but there is still a huge amount of evidence to go through. Remember DNA evidence is still relatively new in the grand scale of things.
On the plus side they have the texts between the two, the 'perfectly timed' visit to SH's Mum's. The buying of all the 'clean-up' products and NM buying the saw. The searching of 'hiding a body' on the phone. And we have only heard from a couple of witnesses so far too. We don't yet know what other lies will come out or what other evidence will be brought in. Maybe I am being over confident but there are still 4 more weeks to go. Remember, the CPS would have heard what evidence there was beforehand and worked out whether there was a good chance of conviction on both of them.
On the otherhand IF SH gets off on all charges I would be stunned! May Justice be done for Becky!

Do we know if she's given an explanation for what she thought they were buying all the bags and cling film for and why they had to go out to get more and bought them across several stores?

I think you make very good points, I am of the same mind.
There is still a long way to go yet.
I don't think this is the evidence that determined the police and CPS to bring the charge of murder against SH.
It seems flimsy to me, and arguable.
I'm not losing heart yet - there must be something they have which is more damning.
Mustn't forget it took nearly 4 months before they charged her after "specialist forensics", and what we are hearing now doesn't sound very specialist to me. IMO

Not much has been said at all in the way of SH defence. I'm sure it will come out in due course.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that SH will have to take the stand to defend herself against these accusations to have any hope of exoneration. If she chooses to remain silent it will look very bad for her, no?

Maybe records for their shared phones? If they show theyre always in the same place other than when NM bought the saw. Mind you if he's saying she was asleep or somewhere else in the house when he used the saw then the phones would show as being in the same place. I think NM really needs to be cross examined. He doesn't seem too bright and I'd like to hear him explain how she didnt hear the saw or notice Becky's body either in the boot or in the bath!

IMO no wonder SH has pleaded NOT guilty, they have literally nothing concrete on her thus far anyway. (DNA etc.) I doubt texts and visiting family randomly will be enough to secure a guilty charge of murder. There must be more to come, hoping, preying there is that's for sure.

Feeling demented.
