Okay, so SH says that NM had strangled her in the past, and NM said he strangled Becky. Fits in nicely doesn't it - previous evidence of NM strangling someone, so adds weight to him being guilty and SH being innocent.................... except Becky didn't die from being strangled.

I wonder if this something they made up between them, not realising that a pathologist could still determine a cause of death even though Becky's body wasn't intact? Did he think that the decapitation he had carried out would make it impossible for anyone to prove he hadn't strangled Becky?

Exactly what I was thinking , especially with the strangling being talked about in present tense

Quick question - why would need to fix pipes in the bathroom when they live in social housing. It would be classed as an emergency repair as it is their only toilet... moot point but a holey story again

For someone who apparently didn't like her smoking, he seemed to be cool with her going for 20-30 minute cigarette as soon as they go into his mums?

Also, I thought they shared phones? How would the 'friend' know which phone to text and if they shared phones there is a higher chance she'd have seen the message? Find it hard to believe she wouldn't question him!

Exactly. They do nothing in their pigsty of a house but suddenly NM goes off and spends all kinds of money on stuff to do work in the bathroom - when they could have it done asap via the Council.

Not wanting to stereotype, but people who live in social housing (I'm talking about the type of people who are scamming benefits, don't work and generally do legal/illegal work on the side) DO NOT do their own repairs!!

Social housing are responsible for doing repairs like that. A tenant would phone them to report it, and with a young child in the house, they would be priority and repair should be done within 24 hour I think. SH would know that. I doubt anyone would be fixing their own blocked toilet, if someone else was available to do it for free.

I'm not slating people in social housing, as I've lived in it myself. Trying to make the point that I don't think it would seem normal to SH that NM was fixing the toilet when he didn't have to do that job.

Anyway, I thought she was supposed to be at his mum's house when the saw was used?
