Sorry CP - just spotted this one

Matthews: Shauna asked to go for a cigarette in the garden when we arrived, if she hadn't we'd have cleaned and tidied up "as normal"

What has SH going for a quick (20 minutes, I know) smoke in garden got to do with why they didn't clean and tidy that day? It's like he's saying if SH hadn't gone for a smoke, the whole thing with Becky wouldn't have happened!

#I don't think he's faking the illness. he would have medical records for something like that. Shauna's friend (3some) also said he had it and it made him feel inadequate.

Fibro is a invisible illness took me about 6 years to diagnose and not by a normal GP be interesting to see if he is questioned about it

Not that I've rtried but I expect it would be extremely difficult to accurately put sellotape on someone's face - I find it hard enough to use on still inanimate objects...

I think it was wrapped round and round, which would be hard to do unless you're above the person's head. Becky looked around the same size as NM if not taller so I can't imagien him doing it while shes standing up in front of him

[h=3]'Everything happened really quickly'[/h]Matthews sat with the fingers of both hands entwined and resting on the lectern as the trial resumed.
He was asked why he didn’t go straight to the police.
Matthews said: “ I didn’t want anybody to know what actually happened.
“It was the panic of everybody finding out and being hurt.
“I went in the bedroom and put her phone, laptop and tablet thing and make-up and clothes - and chucked them in the black bag.
“To make it look like she had just gone off somewhere.”
Matthews said he used the stun gun on Becky but it didn’t work.
He put the handcuffs in the suitcase which he put straight into the boot of his car.
Matthews said: “Everything happened really quickly.”
It was only five or ten minutes from the time he killed Becky - until he put her body in the boot of the car, the jury heard.
Matthews returned to the house and met Hoare coming into the house from the garden where she had been smoking a cigarette.
He told the the jury he then slammed the front door a couple of times so Hoare would think it was Becky going out.

BIB but that is not what SH said in her statement. She says she went into the kitchen, washed her hands, heard the stomping and the door slamming and then went into the living room, where NM was sitting on the sofa.

If these photos have been labelled correctly, then there is a lot of clutter in Becky's house - the kitchen cupboards are covered in piled up clutter, which would make it hard to prepare food. There is a long extension lead on the floor which is an obvious hazard and the living has lots of bits and pieces all over the place. If I recall correctly, the conservatory had stuff piled up too. The garden is full of junk, so Anjie would struggle to use it and there is a box room completely piled high with junk.

Becky's room is the only remotely tidy one!

I don't understand how he can blame Becky for leaving trip hazards when the house seems to be full of things that nobody has bothered to put away, or find a proper home for. Some rooms look as bad as those at NM's house. In fact, the bedroom which must belong to her father and Anjie is full of junk too, taking up lots of floor space. That can't be Becky's fault.

Its the photos at the bottom of this article:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/haunting-images-becky-watts-untouched-6626904

And in these, the conservatory and box room are packed with junk - looks like a hoarder also lived at Becky's house.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3270610/Jurors-shown-bedroom-Becky-Watts-killed.html

How on earth can he think anyone would believe that was the reason he had to teaching Becky a lesson - is he completely blind to the state of the house, conservatory and garden????

I'm disabled unable to get around much of the time. Having a fused spine and emphysema. My hubby and my 3 grown up kids are my carers. But with 3 working full time. And my youngest with special needs. My house has become increasingly hap dash in tidiness. Not that any of us are hoarders. But with grown up people you have grown up stuff. And 20+years of things that are in the loft. (Need going thru I know) 5 grown up people's washing and everyday lives. Is alot of stuff. And none of us are neat freaks. But I used to do everything so it WAS tidy. I can't chase them all now. And I've not enough breath to keep repeating myself. So things get left out. Same argument as NM had with BW..
They come from work get changed. Do what needs doing. I.e washing up cooking laundry... but it's not tidy how I want it....does that make sense?
Their work gear gets left in the hall. Books on the table. Clean washing doesn't get picked up to go upstairs. . Silly things. But all lead to look untidy. MOO .

Did he try to put her in the suitcase in the spare room then (where he says he left the red case)?

How did the blood spray get on the outside of the spare room door otherwise?

Sounds from the reporting that all the attack happened in RW's bedroom, can that be right?

I can't bold on here for some reason but NM states in the above that he went into the bedroom to collect Beckys tablet and phone etc..so where exactly was she killed - the landing?

also said he put the handcuffs on her behind her back, but then says he put them in the suitcase.

I think the spare room is the one full of clutter isn't it? I'm imagining it all happened on the landing and possibly in more than one room off it. It sounds like she fought for her life and would hav ebeen trying to escape from him so I can't imagine it being contained to one spot.

[h=3]'I moved the suitcase after Shauna fell asleep'[/h]Matthews told the jury he drove home with Hoare shortly after 7pm.
He said: “I didn’t tell Shauna, I wanted to hide it from her.
“The suitcase stayed in the car.
“I was thinking ‘just act normal’ - I didn’t know what to do.
“Sometime that night or in the early hours of the morning I decided to dismember Becky’s body.
“I bought drain cleaner to dissolve the body but that didn’t work.
“I took the suitcase into the house the same day. After Shauna fell asleep I moved the suitcase into the front room.
“There wasn’t a lot of room - it was in the early hours of the morning.”

He tried to dissolve her body with drain cleaner but it didn't work? WTF? How would he think that would work?

  • #875
surely they would know at the post mortem if drain cleaner had been applied to her body?

  • #876
Never heard of that one in the school ground but, I have heard of auto asphyxiation!

  • #877

I'm guessing he thought that if it cuts through grease and fat in blocked drains then it would do the same to fat on a body - pm didn't raise anything about chemical burns or anything like that did it??

Ah so he didn't buy it to pretend the drain/toilet was blocked so he could keep SH out of the bathroom then.

Alexander Pacteau tried something similar with Karen Buckley's body... it didn't work then either!

I can't imagine her just kneeling down on her knees to be handcuffed either
