Could they have had a 3 bed?
Hmm I'm pretty sure it was a 2 bed but I may be wrong..

Wonder if the Prosection will bring in a replica suitcase to show the feasibility - or otherwise - of NM being able to put a body in there

Yes and he says he had blood on his beanie - the beanie he wore in the following days to do his shopping. Wonder if that was ever tested..

Is it definitely the same beanie? Why carry on wearing it... unless the blood on it and dismembering was after the shopping trip/s

Thinking back, didn't shauna say she had heard the saw? If so this doesn't add up.

I really really hope the prosecution pick up on this point.

There are so many holes in their story it is becoming laughable.

He told KD not to look in the items, just to store them as SH's house was going to be searched #beckywatts

NM says he offered Karl Demetrius £10,000 to help him 'move items from Shauna's house' #beckywatts

The blood on the beanie was from the kidnapping - you're right though, it may not be the same one

they'll also need to ask him why the tampon was removed.

And also pick up on him not having bought the clingfilm and bags that her body was later found wrapped in at the stage he says he did the dismembering and hid the body parts.

Which reminds me did anyone see the big fridge freezer at the bottom of the stairs in Sh and NM's house... I wonder if that was used for storage?

Hmm if the freezer was switched on and the parts frozen I believe that would have become apparent during the pm as blood molecules and cells change shape once frozen.

His entire plan revolves around SH spending a minimum of 20 minutes smoking a cigarette. If she's any quicker, she will have rumbled his kidnap 'plan'...

Yes, and since it normally takes about 5 minutes to smoke a cig he really was running the risk of her coming back in. I still think they agreed that she and the child should go outside for a while.

  • #934
maybe he is trying to put all the sawing and wrapping in one day so that he can explain how they lived in the house for Sat, Sun and Mon without using a toilet.

and maybe he is going to say the clingfilm purchases are just coincidental - for household use :)

wouldn't surprise me with this one.

she would have said then wouldn't she? she needed an excuse after all.

Not neccessarily even switched on but it would be somewhere empty to store something in a house full of clutter. If of course it wasn't already full.

Just posting his testimony from today re the "handcuffs" for easy reference:

“She got down to her knees and I got the handcuffs and put them on her.
“I put them behind.”
Matthews told the jury Becky did not resist.
He said: “I didn’t use my voice, I used a deep voice.”

Handcuffs are not on body here:

“I went in the bedroom and put her phone, laptop and tablet thing and make-up and clothes - and chucked them in the black bag.

“To make it look like she had just gone off somewhere.”

Matthews said he used the stun gun on Becky but it didn’t work.

He put the handcuffs in the suitcase which he put straight into the boot of his car.

[h=3]'She got down to her knees and I got the handcuffs and put them on her'[/h]Matthews has just told the jury about the moment he killed Becky.
Matthews said his mum Anjie had left to go to the hospital by the time he and Hoare arrived at Becky’s family home. A key had been left for them to get in.
Hoare had a cigarette and went out into the garden to feed the rabbit.
Matthews said: “I got the suitcase out and put it upstairs in the spare bedroom.

“I put the mask on and got the Cellotape ready.
“I knocked on the door. I can’t remember if I said anything. The door was opened and straight away I used the Cellotape around Becky’s mouth.”
Matthews was asked what he was thinking when he came face to face with becky.
He said: “I don’t know - I was following the plan.
“She turned round and I said something along the lines of ‘as long as you do what you are told you are going to be fine.’
“She got down to her knees and I got the handcuffs and put them on her.
“I put them behind.”
Matthews told the jury Becky did not resist.
He said: “I didn’t use my voice, I used a deep voice.
“I got her on her back and went to lift her to put her in the suitcase. I was struggling. I got her in and then my mask slipped.
“I put my hands over her eyes.
“When she was on her knees I told her to keep her eyes shut.
“My hand went straight over her eyes. I got the mask off and put the Cellotape over her eyes.”

This could just be badly worded, but 'had a cigarette AND went into the garden to feed the rabbit'.

Is this two different things she did? So had the cigarette first ..... THEN went into the garden just to feed the rabbit? So taking 20 minutes just to feed the rabbit?

NM says he wore both the masks. He said the sulphuric acid fumes were coming through one, so he taped it, then put the other on #beckywatts

I mean IF she was in on the kidnap plan and knew it was happening that day they could have agreed she would scarper for 20 mins (with the child) while he "done the deed" .
