You would think so...I thought the Jury would be out today if both sides have finished summing up....its just never ending :(

The judge is currently summing up so hopefully the Jury will finally go out soon to deliberate.

Resume tomorrow again

probably for some more summing up :)

Its odd for such a big court they seem to do a hours work...pause it...another hour..pause it etc...they dont seem to actually get anything done. I know with the Bethany Vincent case it started and they had a break for dinner and would go on the whole time pretty much.

Wonder if same thing will happen again today...

Yup :(

Criminal Court 1 T20207051
James Lewis Watson
Details: Trial (Part Heard) - Resume - 10:37
Trial (Part Heard) - Summing Up - 10:42

I don't even understand what there is to say that can take this long to be honest. Maybe telling the Jury to ignore the things said against Ruth and to judge it on actual evidence...which there is very little of despite the fact its lasted like three months ;(

Honestly I have wanted Justice for Rikki for so long..and for his family and for his dad who is no longer here but honestly? I just feel so unsure right now. Yes of course he could have done it...but I dont think the Prosecution have proven their case enough or not for me and theres questions they just havent answered. Sometimes I just think they are desperate to get someone convicted because of what happened last time and yet telling the jury to ignore any evidence that doesnt back their case up...I just think is wrong as they should have proven their case so that wasnt an issue.

Personally I dont see how any one can be sure he is guilty beyond any reasonable doubt unless we ignore testimony from the Policeman etc

Yeah I feel the same!! Police were rushing it... I'm sure Rikkis sisters would have preferred to wait a little longer and actually have answers, I feel so sad for them, the prolonged pain is so unnecessary

I do feel sorry for them too. IF James did it I kind of think he had to have had someone else help him. Its ok saying Rikki was so much younger he was but he was kinda a chunky little kid....whereas Watson wasnt so big himself and if the Policeman and others were telling the truth then someone had to move Rikki that night whilst people were looking for Rikki which would be pretty risky. The Prosecution case was all about Ruth it made no sense really.

That is kind of weird. I know both victims came from/lived in Peterborough but Bernadettes case was at Cambridge so I guess the Judges go court to court. That was a horrible case too :(

From what I gathered from others on Bernadettes thread it was unusual for that to happen.. she's a tough one. Thought Jury would be quick on this for some reason

What worries me is if he is found not guilty that they will never try this case again and no one will ever be convicted. On the other hand the wrong person shouldnt be convicted ( if he isnt guilty i mean)
