I know such a s**t case! Justice should be done and a lot of things suggest it was him but then still think time was wrong and 2nd person involved...??

I mean even the weird neighbour teenager that said Ruth asked her to take him and put him in star shape? Why would you make that up for attention

we probably wont get a verdict this week still :( is the jury out even? I know it was yesterday but today it looked like they was out a minute and that was it.

There's not a lot of consistency, each court clerk seems to have a different way of recording events. I imagine there will have been s full day of deliberations.

I was wondering that but it didnt say yesterday case adjourned so it looks odd but the whole case has been odd so at least its consistent ;)

<modsnip>

Also, why didn’t the murder appear on Crimewatch at the time in 1994/1995? Did the police not carry out a a lot of appeals?

At the time they thought it was Rikki's Mum and she was tried and found not guilty.. I believe (my opinion) more than 1 person was involved, the police had suspicion about kids doing it but knew how hard it was to convict a child/children and have a decent sentence (remember this was a year after James Bulger) and yeah defo believe things were covered up because his dad was a policeman but then his dad was also arrested and sent to prison (still dont know why?) The 13 year old neighbour of rikki's statement was strange aswell. I think it's still going to be a while before a verdict and got a horrible feeling will have to be retried

the sister said if her dad was a cop it was before she was born so before he was born too which makes no sense with what had already been said in court and it was headlines that his dad was a serving cop...none of that made sense either.

No I don't understand why she couldn't recall it he was arrested and sentenced as a serving policeman that's when they went into care?? She's older than james so must have known

I thought she said he was a lorry driver....and that if he was a policeman it was before she was born unless something happened to her and she blocked it out of her head? This is why i couldnt be on the Jury nothing makes sense. How do you work out whose telling the truth and who isnt when you are even told to ignore the policemans testimony?

he wouldnt have been a serving police officer though at the time of Rikkis death whichever sibling was telling the truth because once he had been in prison assuming he really had he wouldnt been allowed to be a policeman again.

I actually understood why the Police originally thought Ruth was involved. Even this trial they have done a better job of making her look involved than they have Watson which is a bit weird.
