Was that the car behind the bus on the video? Was she alone? (I can't see very well on the vid).
Assuming the car was parked at her home then has not been moved since - though read the neighbour told LE it wasn't parked as normal - just asking, grateful for info. TIA

Yeah black vehicle behind bus. It’s hard to tell but it does look like she is alone

The latest BBC News states that Samantha's wedding was planned for June.
Linking here to clarify Samantha's situation as it feels relevant to me OIMO.

Missing midwife was 'recently single'

A midwife who has "disappeared" had been planning a wedding for June but was "recently single", police said

Samantha Eastwood was last seen leaving Royal Stoke University Hospital at 07:45 BST on Friday and did not return for her night shift later that day.

Staffordshire Police confirmed there had been "no activity within [her] finances since [her] disappearance".

"She seemed happy" when she was last seen, police added.
Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, officers confirmed Miss Eastwood, of Stockton Brook, did not appear distressed the last time she was seen and her car was still at her house.

Search widened
In a post shared on Facebook, Miss Eastwood appeared to have been selling her wedding dress on an online marketplace.

Ms Eastwood's disappearance is being investigated by a team from the force's Major and Organised Crime Department.

On Wednesday, police released CCTV footage of Miss Eastwood leaving her last shift and driving away from the hospital

Re my last post - those attached files quoted in my post are quite irrelevant, but I seem unable to delete them, sorry. j

Sadly I think the police will be announcing this as a murder investigation in the not too distant future.

The peak district is only 9 miles (20 minute drive) away with lots of wide open fields, woodland etc to dump a body.:(

I'm guessing the police will have gone over the house/garden with a fine tooth comb by now to confirm she's not there.

Not sure if murder or suicide. I hope neither.

I am surprised that so far this hasn't really made the national news here. BBC news makes some references, but frankly I would expect this to be of enough importance to broadcast in the UK.
Who knows what may have been noticed by a passing motorist/lorry driver around that area. I feel to get help and answers it isn't always local residents, they must spread the net wider.
Poor Samantha

Detectives probe reports screaming was heard at midwife's home on day she went missing as her former fiancé joins in search for her and begs 'please, please help find Sam'

Missing midwife 'dropped off grid’ and left her keys and car at home | Daily Mail Online

In that link (thanks for posting that) there is this sentence:

As well as searching her home, officers have been keeping a police presence outside a second house three miles away in Northwood, Stoke on Trent.

Does anyone here have any info on what the connection is with this property please?

Chief Nurse, Liz Rix, says that the disappearance of one of her midwives is completely out of character.

Samantha Eastwood was last seen leaving her shift at the Royal Stoke University Hospital last Friday morning.

Usually for MSM to jump on-board it needs to fit a certain political agenda or involve a PR guru that needs to protect important people. We mere mortals on our own are not much interest to them otherwise.

NB - Reading that back I realise it makes me sound like a paranoid conspiracy theorist, but I do believe that it is how the cookie crumbles in our world sadly.

I don't have the connection but I have more detail on the other address.

"Police said they had two properties in the city “under control” – Eastwood’s home and a second address at Cromer Road, Northwood."

Neighbour reports hearing scream on day midwife disappeared

Currently, things are pointing towards something happening to Eastwood at the hands of someone she knows. With that in mind, if the scream is relevant to this case then someone she knows most probably caused that to happen.

I would have thought that if someone knew they could break into her property and knew her schedule, then they would have chosen to do so by cover of darkness and without her present in the house. It would be far less risky than entering in the afternoon when Eastwood was there.

I think the most likely scenario would be that whoever entered the house, was let in or even welcomed in and something unfolded thereafter.

Her car being 'backed right down her driveway' rather than parked as usual is bothering me. It makes me feel like either she wasn't driving or someone was directing her. Someone who didn't want to be seen going in via the back door? Maybe someone recognisable to the neighbours as a previous visitor? I'm just throwing stuff out.

I've watched the video over and over and I can't say whether there is or isn't someone in the passenger seat at that point. There's a light patch but it could well be sunlight. (Google indicates that the car seats would be all one colour)

Or perhaps parked so that another car could also park there?

Good point. This is something I do if I’m expecting a visitor with a car.

If it’s unusually “backed right down” maybe it’s not usually backed down but has been reversed down in which case I wonder if it was parked closer to get something in it from out of the house?
