I don't think he himself is in the Met, but it was suggested upthread that his family live in Kent so there may be an 'obvious' connection there to infer that the police officer may be a family member.

And the odds are the purported perps are not in any way associated with the family

If a copper has been involved I doubt they're stupid enough to have put the body anywhere obvious. Could be commited by the officer but they don't have evidence for where she is? Just a different idea...

A gentle reminder that Kent is a big place and it includes places like Orpington and Bexleyheath which are right on the edges of London (ie easy commuting distance for a Met officer), as well as places all the way over by the coast - so it doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of who else lives there.
