do JLs family live in kent?

I think if the police knew who the actual perp was they would arrest him. Not just the concealer of the crime first. The person who committed this crime is a danger.

I feel sick learning this news.

Embarrasing question, but I'm a Yank.

Isn't Kent a large county? Is there a city of Kent?

If he was arrested in Kent, how close is this to Brixton?

Makes sense. Could've confiscated phone and switch it off right away. JMO
the fact it was a police officer changes everything. He can completely get her to do what he likes without causing alarm/scene by showing the badge

This thought is really quite scary

I bet she knows him.

The fact that a woman has been arrested for assisting an offender makes me think she knew he knew her and she asked him/suspected he had something to do with it and has chosen to cover for him.

We also don't know necessarily EXACTLY what the PO has been arrested for at present.

This evening, officers arrested a man at an address in Kent in connection with the disappearance of Sarah Everard.

He has been taken into custody at a London police station where he remains.

The man is a serving Metropolitan Police officer.

A woman has also been arrested at the same location on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has also been taken into custody at a London police station.

UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with disappearance of Sarah Everard

If you go with the abduction theory I find it far more probable that it was by car then anything else.

For all the problems of bundling someone into a car they are magnified if she was dragged to a building or into a park.

A car pulling up alongside would be 2-3 meters at most to move someone and once inside fairly soundproofed to the outside World.

The nearest buildings from where they are searching are many times that and to there or outside would be a lot further and potentially generate a lot more noise.

If it’s conceivable she was dragged into a park or property without it being noticed it’s far more feasible she could be dragged into a car

If there was more then one person involved they could have taken somewhere like park dark disclude area possibly restraied tied her up etc then put her into either a car or a van?

I'm shocked and very sad. When you're walking home late at night the police are the one people you ought to be able to trust.

This is awful news. When I was attacked in exactly this area some years ago, the police were so good. I remember two PCs coming really fast and scooping me up into a car, and then driving me round the neighbourhood to see if we could spot the perp. I was really traumatised but I felt so safe in that car. Appalling - if true, because we're all just speculating right now - if a police officer abused SE's trust to get her into a car.

In addition to friends and family of course my heart goes out to all the LE that have worked tirelessly on this case. This is the ultimate form of betrayal for them.

Well this is crazy. I don’t know why but the idea of a police officer being responsible makes me so uneasy.

you're a bit behind here, a police officer was arrested

And are there other women missing from the general area, even going back several years

haha, that doesn't answer the question. Where does it say Clapham. I don't mean specifics within clapham
Yeah I realise my mistake, I’ve not taken this from a valid source.. amended my messages, my bad

Could be the Maxine Carr/ Ian Huntley scenario.

What makes you think the police officer arrested isn't the perpetrator?
