i think he ditched the car later that day. SL was never on stevenage rd. mr kipper picked that spot to ditch SL car in advance. he knew sturgis were selling 123 stevenage rd, so ditched the car across the road from the large yellow sturgis for sale sign.
A. Question, who did wj go to the bank with? I am sure i read she was with a friend.

Ann Mahon, a neighbour. It was Mrs Mahon's husband who had the garage outside which the Fiesta was parked.

DV found WJ an unreliable witness.
Does anyone know if he had any opinion on Ann Mahon?

Not quite sure what the logistics were, or even whether WJ told AM at all - or merely thought it. I'm not even sure at what point WJ says the car was overlapping - she seems to have been pretty distracted that day - kids off school, dog needing to be walked and returning to the house,. She's anxious about coins being counted at the bank and notices the time on the clock there...not sure how clear it is at what point she noticed the car... Could easily be later in the afternoon - i think generally agreed that she saw a different car earlier, albeit a similar one perhaps. Plenty of similar cars about, including tons of Fiestas. . Mr Mahon returned later though and was able to drive into the garage despite car overlapping (by about 18 inches, iirc).

Just checked in Finding Suzy. WJ sets off with the kids and the puppy for a short walk, takes puppy back to the house before departing for the bank and it is then she claims she first noticed the car overlapping. She went to see Pinocchio, returned to the house at around 5 and the same car was there, still overlapping (says WJ).

WJ's 2nd sighting of the white car was around 3.30pm, when she returned home.

It was Mr Mahon who returned around 5pm.

I find it surprising that she was able to go and see Pinocchio, so it must have been a special daytime performance for the school holidays?

Pinocchio was briefly re-released in the cinema in late 1984/early 1985, but not 1986 AFAIK.

The movie runs at just under an hour and a half.
