Who had Suzy's chequebook, diary & postcard and posted it to her? In DV's book acting landlord 'Clive' said that he handed the items to the police on the Monday or the Tuesday (he couldn't remember which day it was).

If the postcard had Suzy's name & address on it why did the landlord phone the bank to see who the chequebook belonged to?
The postcard was sent to her before she placed it in the diary

Say you were the acting landlord. And for whatever reason, Suzy Lamplugh is lying deceased in the cellar. The landlord and his wife are away for a few days, so you have some time.

What would you do? Bury the body in a recess off the cellar? Bury on the railway embankment covered by tress etc at the back of the pub? Attempt to transport elsewhere?

I know which one I'd go for....

In my humble opinion I think Suzy went to pub accident occurred Clive buried her in pub, did they not investigate embankment previously ? Clive drove car back and dumped it , would car seat not be pushed back if someone is stout not just needing to be a tall person ? Somehow Clive wife seemed involved , why did she not want to be interviewed by DV ?

Thanks for taking the time to reply Crusader!

I didn't know that Suzy & Adam had broken up and, as you say, he portrayed himself in the media as Suzy's boyfriend after she had disappeared.

I'm still confused by the different stories of when Suzy's things were found in the pub. The landlord says they were found on the Sunday, yet Adam's account is that Suzy lost them on the Friday night. According to Adam they went to the pub on the Friday night (has anyone else verified this), so if they were left at the pub why did it take two days for the landlord to come across them?

If they were mislaid on the Sunday then at some point Suzy must have visited the pub, although there doesn't appear to be any record of this.

I think reason Adam was at press conference and still seemed to be suzys boyfriend because according to stuff I have read previously Diana and Paul lamplugh thought Adam was a good role model as a boyfriend as they wanted media to have a certain image of suzy?

Don't know, he's bearded now apparently, 30 in '86.

You thinking this is him? 27.15 in to video. Hailing a cab at 2pm near to where Suzy's car was abandoned?

So five minutes into taking sole control of the pub and he's accosting one of his customers?

Is that likely / a wise move for a married man, just starting his first full stint as landlord with his wife?

Yes crusader I take your point it seems unlikely , I think more likely accident occurred to suzy whilst in pub ?

Playing devil's advocate BTW....

It would be good to know what Adam's 'cast-iron alibi' was on the day Suzy disappeared. And his surprising change of story about the Friday night and how he says now that he and Suzy never went to the PoW pub ever, also that Suzy losing her things over the weekend apparently 'never happened'. Then of course storming out of the interview with DV saying 'you'll never find Suzy' - all very strange.

Out of all the interviews DV did in the book, Adam's is undoubtedly the oddest and most uncomfortable of them all.

REmember to put JMO or MOO after your thoughts (as in the rules. It means Just My Opinion or My Own Opinion).

Clive (not real name) was the acting landlord at the Prince of Wales pub and is described as a short, stout man in David Videcette's book Finding Suzy.

If it was an accident why didn’t he just call police and explain ,Surely this would of been easier than cover it up and live with this guilt all his life ? JMO . Agree about the ex wife,She acted rather oddly when David went to see her and Clive didn’t seem very happy when he was told David had spoken with her.Have only Police and Family seen content of this diary ?

Thanks so much Wise Owl. As you can tell I have not read this book. I agree (with @Jackster ?) a stout person would need to put the seat back far. JMO MOO
