"The 'curse of the ayatollahs' remains in effect.

Oil prices are skyrocketing.

The world is looking for ways around the Strait of Hormuz.

1774097826129.jpeg

Iran is openly saying that its goal is to raise the costs of war.
The world is looking for workarounds for the Strait of Hormuz and ways to lower oil prices.
Israel is advocating the construction of new pipelines.
Does the 'curse of the ayatollahs' of $200 per barrel have a chance of coming true?

Reopening the strait itself,
although necessary in principle,
will not be possible in the form the Americans have planned.
Even convoys won't help.
It's a narrow passage;
two damaged tankers are enough to cause a blockage that closes the strait.

Oil prices have surged to nearly $120 per barrel, further damaging the global economy.

Nefrin, the Persian curse
that sees oil prices reach $200 per barrel,
has been keeping investors and economists awake at night.

On March 11, 2026,
General Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya's Tehran headquarters,
issued the curse:

'Get ready for oil at $200 a barrel
because the price of oil
depends on the security in the region you have destabilized'."

Iran's Natanz nuclear enrichment facility was hit in an airstrike on Saturday, an official Iranian news agency reported, saying there was no radiation leakage, while Israel's defence minister warned of an upcoming surge in attacks on Iran as the war in the Middle East entered its fourth week.

Israel Katz said in a video statement that next week, "the intensity of the attacks" by Israel and the United States against Iran's ruling theocracy will "increase significantly."

He spoke shortly after fragments from an Iranian missile slammed into an empty kindergarten near Tel Aviv. Israeli army spokesperson Nadav Shoshani posted a video on social media platform X of the kindergarten building. No casualties were reported as it was empty at the time.

The U.S. military said on Saturday that it had attacked more than 8,000 targets in Iran since the start of the war, which entered its fourth week with little clarity about how close the Trump Administration was to achieving its goals.

Adm. Brad Cooper of Central Command, which oversees the U.S. military’s Middle East operations, said in a statement that Tehran’s fighting power had been substantially degraded and that the damage included 130 vessels. But Iranian forces have continued to fire missiles and drones at Israel and some of the United States’s allies in the region, while also enforcing a de facto blockade of the critical Strait of Hormuz to Western shipping.

Why it is becoming increasingly clear that the US is improvising in Iran: "Plan A failed and they have no plan B": Contradictory communication about the end of the war

"
The war against Iran has now lasted exactly three weeks, and in those three weeks, the American president has said multiple times that the fighting will be over soon.

At the same time, the president is sending a different message to the world. "We can talk (with Iran), but I don't want a ceasefire. You don't agree to a ceasefire when you literally pulverize the other side." With this, Trump seems to indicate that American attacks on Iran will continue for some time yet.
...

"He has to tell his domestic constituency that it is almost over. So he will say that often: that they have it under control and that it is almost finished.
...

The contradictory communication demonstrates that the US government has no real strategy and is improvising in Iran. "You get the impression that they had a plan A: quickly bomb Iran into oblivion, quickly break the resistance, the regime would fall apart, a new regime would emerge, or new rulers with whom they could do business. But that didn't happen."

And they "clearly have no plan B," says De Vroey.
...

The news that the US government is temporarily easing sanctions against Iranian oil is also raising quite a few eyebrows and suggests that US has lost control of the war. "That is also contradictory," says De Vroey. "By easing those sanctions, you now have a situation where Iran is allowed to do more than before the war, which makes no sense at all.

Photos show crews working at site of Dimona missile strike

We're starting to see some photos of the site of a missile strike by Iran on the Israeli city of Dimona.

Crews can be seen working at a residential area - the remains of a family home can be seen, as can a damaged apartment building.

Emergency crews gather in front of an apartment building. The windows of the building are blown out. The area is lit by flood lamps.

Iran entering 'new phase' of war - Iran's parliamentary speaker

Ghoncheh Habibiazad
Senior reporter, BBC Persian

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagheri Ghalibaf has posted on his account on X that “it appears that the time has come to implement the next pre-planned strategies” about the war with Israel and the US.

“If Israel is unable to intercept missiles in the heavily protected Dimona area, it is, operationally, a sign of entering a new phase of the conflict. Israel’s skies are defenceless,” Ghalibaf says.

The Israeli Air Force has opened an investigation into its failure to intercept a ballistic missile that struck the southern city of Arad shortly before.

The missile is believed to have carried a conventional warhead containing hundreds of kilograms of explosives. It left dozens injured and caused widespread damage across the area.

Israel’s Home Front Command has also launched a parallel inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the impact.

Both the Air Force and Home Front Command are examining an earlier strike in the nearby city of Dimona, where dozens more people were reported injured.

Among the injured, seven are said to be in serious condition and 15 in moderate condition, while 42 others sustained minor injuries. Emergency teams are continuing to search the scene for additional casualties.

"Iran attacked Dimona.

That's where Israel's nuclear power is.

Iranian forces shelled the southern Israeli city of Dimona,
home to a nuclear reactor, on Saturday.

At least 47 people were injured.

Media reported the attack was in response to the recent Israeli-American attack on Tehran's Natanz nuclear facility.

Dimona is located approximately 35 km west of the Dead Sea.

The Shimon Peres Nuclear Research Center in the Negev Desert,
commonly known as the Dimona Reactor, is located 13 km from the city."

"The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has announced via state media ( Press TV and Irna ) that they struck an Israeli F-16 fighter jet. The aircraft reportedly flew over central Iran last week. The report has not yet been confirmed by Israel or other sources.

Earlier this week, an American F-35 was also reportedly hit over Iran. The pilot was said to have managed to land his aircraft, but he was injured. However, exactly what happened remains unclear."

Israel attacked Iranian nuclear site. Then Iran attacked Israeli nuclear site.

"The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has called for "maximum military restraint" after Iran launched a missile attack on the Israeli city of Dimona, where a nuclear research institution is located.

"The IAEA (...) has received no indications of possible damage to the nuclear research center in the Negev," the UN agency said in a report on X. "Information from countries in the region indicates that no abnormal radiation levels have been detected."

The missile attack on Dimona is a "reaction" to the attack on the Iranian nuclear site in Natanz earlier today, according to Iranian state television."

"Iran struck two communities near Israel's main nuclear research site late Saturday, leaving several people seriously injured, hours after its own Natanz main nuclear enrichment site was hit, as the war spun into a dangerous new direction at the start of its fourth week.

It marked the first time in the war that Israel's nuclear research centre has been targeted.

The Israeli military said its defences were not able to intercept missiles that hit the southern cities of Dimona and Arad. Several people were in serious condition, emergency services said.

"The war is not close to ending," said Israel's army chief Gen. Eyal Zamir."

TOKYO, March 21 (Reuters) - Iran is ready to let Japanese-related vessels pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for global oil supplies, Kyodo news reported, citing Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

"Iran is, of course, ready to support the passing of Japan-related vessels through the Strait of Hormuz," if Japan seeks its reopening of the strait, Araqchi told Kyodo.

Araqchi, a former ambassador to Japan, said Tokyo has a friendly relationship with Tehran, expressing hope that it would play a role in ending what he called unjustifiable and illegal "invasion" of his country.

Donald Trump has threatened further attacks against Iran if it does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz within the next two days.

“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” the US President wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Iran said it would respond in kind if Mr Trump makes good on his promise, targeting “all energy, information technology and desalination infrastructure belong to the US and the regime in the region” if its own is “violated by the enemy”.

In-person classes at all Israeli schools have been cancelled on Sunday and Monday, education minister Yoav Kisch has announced.

Mr Kisch cited Iranian strikes on the southern Israel towns of Dimona and Arad, which left roughly 100 civilians injured, as the reason for closing the nation’s schools for the next 48 hours.

Iran said it would target critical infrastructure if President Trump follows through on his threat to "obliterate" Iranian power plants in the event that Tehran fails to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Monday evening Washington time.

In Israel, an investigation is under way after two incidents late Saturday in which Iranian missiles slipped through the country's sophisticated air defenses, injuring dozens and damaging buildings in southern cities.

The strikes came after Iran carried out one of its farthest missile launches on record, targeting Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-U.K. military base in the Indian Ocean
