"Aircraft Crash in Iraq:
An Extraordinary Gesture by a US Pilot.

A pilot from Ohio
decided to honor the memory of three of the six victims of the KC-135 tanker crash in Iraq on 12th March.

He 'drew' three crosses with his aircraft,
along with a soldier paying tribute to the fallen.

"Iran does not appear to be planning to comply with the wishes of US President Trump. He issued an ultimatum last night: Iran must allow all ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz again within 48 hours, otherwise the US will "destroy multiple Iranian power plants".

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard warns Trump in a statement that he will achieve the exact opposite of what he wants, because Iran will then completely close off the Strait of Hormuz, it says.

The Guard also reiterates the threat previously voiced by other Iranian representatives that power plants in countries with American bases will therefore be a "legitimate" target. Companies with American stock will also be "completely destroyed," says the Guard.
...

Iran warns of "irreversible damage" to vital infrastructure and throughout the Gulf region if the United States and Israel attack energy installations in Iran. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated this in a message on X.

"As soon as the power plants and infrastructure in our country have become the target, critical infrastructure, energy infrastructure, and oil installations throughout the region will be considered legitimate targets and irreversibly destroyed," he wrote. "As a result, the oil price will remain high for a long time."

Ghalibaf's statements are a response to the ultimatum Trump issued last night. Iran had to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours , otherwise the US would "destroy multiple Iranian power plants." That ultimatum runs until Tuesday, March 24, at 3:14 a.m. Iranian time (0:14 a.m. our time)."

"BBC Persian also received some reactions from people in Iran to US President Donald Trump's threat to attack Iranian energy installations.

A resident of the city of Karaj is surprised. "I had expected [Trump] to make a clear distinction between the government and the people, and not interfere with what belongs to the people." A twenty-something in Tehran says: "I am terribly worried, because without electricity Iran will collapse and become a nightmare for everyone."

Another twenty-something in Tehran says: “Everyone in Iran knew that if the Islamic Republic gets involved in a conflict, it will block the strait, fire missiles at its neighbors and even at their infrastructure. Iran will not surrender, but will continue firing every missile and bullet it has. Didn’t the US know this, or hadn’t the US expected it?

"The threat of Iranian attacks prevents most oil tankers and other ships from sailing through the Strait of Hormuz. Ship tracking systems show that some ships do pass through . Ships under the Iranian flag, but also ships linked to China or India, and a Pakistani oil tanker.
...

The Strait of Hormuz remains open to all shipping, except for ships with ties to "the enemies of Iran." This was stated by Ali Mousavi, the Iranian representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in an interview that appeared in Iranian state media today.

The interview was originally published on Friday by the Chinese news agency Xinhua, so before the ultimatum regarding the Strait of Hormuz that US President Donald Trump issued to Iran.

"Passage through the Strait of Hormuz is possible by coordinating safety and security measures with Iran," stated Mousavi. "Diplomacy remains Iran's priority. However, a complete cessation of aggression, as well as mutual trust, are more important."

Mousavi also says that he is willing to cooperate with the IMO to improve maritime security and secure shipping traffic in the Gulf. The IMO falls under the United Nations."

" 'Darkness Will Fall on the Gulf'.

Iran Threatens Trump After Ultimatum.

1774199189596.jpeg

Donald Trump is blackmailing Tehran,
demanding the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz.
He claims that if this doesn't happen,
the US will destroy Iranian power plants.

However,
the regime remains unmoved and continues to issue threats.
Now,
it maintains that
the entire Persian Gulf will be plunged into darkness.

'If there is even the slightest attack
on the electrical infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran,
the entire region will be plunged into darkness',

Tehran warned on Sunday.

These threats are not exaggerated,
as approximately 70 to 80 percent of the region's large power plants are located on the Persian Gulf coast.

Many of these facilities are less than 50 kilometers from the coast,
meaning they are all within Iran's reach."

“The Government of Spain demands the opening of Hormuz and the preservation of all the energy sites of the Middle East,” he wrote in a social media post.

“We stand at a global tipping point. Further escalation could trigger a long-term energy crisis for all humanity. The world should not pay the consequences of this war.”

The government announced the meeting will also be attended by Finance Minister Rachel Reeves and Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, as well as Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and Energy Secretary Ed Miliband.

“Topics expected to be covered are the economic impact of the crisis on families and businesses, energy security and the resilience of industry and supply chains alongside the international response,” the Fnance Ministry said ahead of the so-called “COBRA” meeting – in reference to the venue, where meetings are held during crisis situation.

UK relies heavily on imported natural gas, and the country is bracing for another week of increase in energy prices with no signs of the US and Israel winding down their attacks against Iran.

Here's more on the International Energy Agency (IEA) chief's comments from his National Press Club address earlier.

IEA chief Fatih Birol said world leaders have failed to grasp the depth of the energy crisis created by the Iran war.

"The situation is very severe," he said in his address.

Even if peace was reached immediately, Dr Biro said, the amount of damage meant there would be ongoing energy pain.

"It will take some time to come back to the normal days we had before the war was started," he said.

Article from 23 March 2026:
Extremist Jewish settlers have carried out a spate of attacks on Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank, setting fire to homes, vehicles and agricultural fields. The violence began after a teenage settler - 18-year-old Yehuda Sherman - was killed on Saturday, after reportedly being hit by a vehicle driven by a Palestinian while on his quad bike. Police said they were investigating whether the hit was deliberate or accidental. In response, WhatsApp groups used by settlers called for a "revenge campaign" over his death. More than 20 settler attacks were reported overnight, according to a defence official cited by Israeli media.
Settler violence has surged since the US and Israel attacked Iran, with six Palestinians killed by settlers since 1 March, according to the United Nations (UN).
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that its troops and border police units were dispatched to several Palestinian villages on Saturday night, after receiving reports of Israeli civilians "committing acts of arson against structures and property, as well as engaging in disturbances in the area".

China has urged all parties involved in the US-Israeli war on Iran that is affecting the Strait of Hormuz to end military operations to prevent a “vicious cycle” and return to negotiations.

“Should hostilities continue to escalate ‌and the situation deteriorate further, the entire region will be plunged into chaos,” the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said when responding to a question about US President Donald Trump pressuring Iran to reopen the key shipping waterway.

“The use of force will only lead to a vicious cycle,” he said, adding that the war should ‌not have begun in the first place.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority is reporting that an investigation into the killing of an Israeli man in northern Israel’s Misgav Am community has led to the conclusion that he was killed by Israeli fire.

“An artillery battery stationed nearby made a mistake while firing artillery into Lebanon, and several of the shells landed inside the kibbutz,” the report said.

"Iranian military spokesman ridiculed Trump.
'You're fired'.

Iranian Armed Forces Central Command spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari
has addressed US President Donald Trump,
saying he is firing him.

'Hey, Trump! You are fired!
You are familiar with this sentence.
Thank you for your attention to this matter'.

Iran earlier announced it would completely close the Strait of Hormuz
if US President Donald Trump carries out his threats to strike Iranian energy infrastructure,
the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement on Sunday."

"Iran Strikes Helium Plant,

Bringing IT and AI World to Brink.

1774265408580.jpeg

Following Iran's attacks on Qatar's gas infrastructure,
the world may face serious disruptions in the supply of helium
- one of the key raw materials for modern technologies.

While most people associate helium primarily with balloons,
it is in fact absolutely critical to the semiconductor, medical, and space industries.

Its global supply has been seriously threatened.

Qatar accounts for one-third of the world's helium

Qatar, thanks to its vast natural gas reserves,
accounts for approximately 30–33% of global helium production.

This raw material is a byproduct of gas extraction
and is obtained through cryogenic separation.

A key point on the global production map is the Ras Laffan complex,
the world's largest LNG plant.

It was there that the attacks occurred,
forcing the state-owned operator to suspend production in early March.

As a result,
helium exports are expected to be permanently reduced by approximately 14%,
and full reconstruction of the infrastructure could take years."
