I agree with what you’re saying, you can’t make a person talk who doesn’t want to talk and I don’t want to speculate on what we don’t know. All I know is if I could see my child on a downward spiral. Drugs, arrests, odd posts on SM and their mental health was clearly declining before my eyes, I would do all I could to make that person get the help they needed, I would push for them to be committed against their will if needed. It may not work and get me anywhere but I know I would exhaust every possible outlet to get the help they need.

His attorney is court appointed but not a public defender. Court appointed attorneys can come from the public defenders office or private practice with judges approval.

Regarding AW’s Facebook changes after his arrest - he is allowed to make phone calls. I can imagine he was told that people are putting horrible comments under the very few FB posts that allowed non-friends to comment. I also imagine him giving them his log in info so they could lockdown his profile. moo

His choice of what he is worried about (updating/changing his FB page) after being arrested as a suspect for murdering his niece; is interesting. Again...pure evil. jmo

Searching dachshund (I hope I wrote it correctly) owner here- in my opinion, there were two possible problems: first, the rain, and second, they were not sure what they were searching- dead body, living victim, blood trail or just normal scent trail, and whose trail.

With dogs you have to be precise. They can follow trail perfectly and find whatever you want, but you have to command them precisely.

My boy found a burglar that robbed our apartment, cold trail after 8 days (we were out of town at the time of burglary), quickly and precisely. Also, he successfully tracked kids that got lost, but he always knows what he is tracking.

If he had to recover a dead body, he could certainly sniff it, but the problem would be how would I explain to him what he must search for- there are lots of scents around and he goes for those he had previously tracked most.

I am sorry, English is not my first language, and my vocabulary in this field is not good, but I hope you can understand what I mean.

Was it ever reported that HRD dogs (cadaver dogs) were used in the immediate neighborhood? I've seen reports that they were used in the search south of the area but I can't find anything about the streets around the home.

I don't know much about search dogs but I know they're trained to do specific "sniffing" jobs. So maybe apart from some exceptional dogs the ones trained in trailing may have missed Lizzy's body. And yes, rain and soggy, tall weeds probably hampered efforts too.
