Found Deceased UT-5 -Year-Old Elizabeth Shelley Found Deceased (UNCLE ARRESTED) #4

The first address is ES home. The second is the school where items were found, the third is the beer can drop, I believe the 4th is a sighting of him that early morning when his pants appeared wet according to some, the 5th may also have been a sighting (I was mapping as events were unfolding) the 6th is the Landfill, 7th is the convenience store and the last is the meat plant (he worked there at one point according to a sleuther). I will go back and confirm the addresses. When I first posted it, she had not yet been found.

In addition to aggravated murder, Whipple was charged with child kidnapping, abuse of a dead body, and two counts of obstruction of justice. A day earlier, Whipple was charged with several misdemeanor counts, including failing to disclose his identity to police, failing to stop for police and drug possession.

I read this from a MSM twitter - that they'd determined but were not releasing COD at this time. Can't recall the name of the source though.

I've been following this thread since the day of this heinous crime; I was born and raised in Logan and appreciate finding this source of information to help frame things as the search was ongoing. I understand the sentiment, I do. He doesn't deserve comfort or ease of life. But I have a different view.
I work in a jail and so for the sake of the guards, I hope he still has someone on the outside there for him. Without that touch of life outside, he will become awful for guards and civilian staff that work inside with him. Each inmate needs that one person who still cares, both for themselves and for the staff.

the research shows a genetic predisposition to antisocial behavior combined with a negative environment causes psychopathy. By the time AW was 18 it was too late for him. he almost definitely has a genetic predisposition for psychopathy. it would have taken an extremely warm, supportive environment for him not to turn out like this.

That was quite a quote . I commend Grandpa William’s honesty in addressing the problem but following up with a solution that was inclusive rather than exclusive is important next step in the conversation. Saying someone should be sent to professional outside of the family to be fixed rather than saying we will figure this out together can be isolating message.

This murderer was an extremely sick individual. I have no idea what could have prevented this horrific escalation and don’t want to try to suggest any “if only”s here. What I do observe in the history are clear signs of mood disruption and acting out followed by limited consequences or limited follow through of threatened consequence (again - this is just based on limited info reported). With a disregulated brain - this can be twisted to mean “I can and will try to get away with...” or “I can do whatever I want if I just rage” because it’s been reinforced from times or worked for him in the past. It’s all about him, his impulses, his inability to empathize in his moments of acting out, and his lack of regard for logical consequences.

The suspect in this case has an escalating history of violence and criminal activity, and society should be permanently protected. It is most humane to keep him comfortable yet encaged for life, capital punishment is most immediate with the same outcome.

Rainbows for Lizzy: Ribbons among many tributes under way for Elizabeth Shelley

Families Feeding Families founder Jaymee Kay Loftin Avery said after the group started coordinating the project, the Cache County Children's Justice Center and the Victim's Advocates Office approached them to ask if they could provide the rainbow decorations for Lizzy's funeral on Tuesday.

The ribbons will decorate the funeral route, the vehicles, the motorcycle procession and hundreds of the first responders expected to attend, according to Avery. Many of those first responders participated in the five-day search for the missing girl.

Avery said one of Lizzy's teachers told her that when asked her favorite color, the girl said: "I like all of them. I don’t like any more better than the rest. So my favorite color is rainbow."

"So we're going to do as much rainbow as we can," Labrum said.

Lizzy's obituary running in the Weekend Edition of The Herald Journal confirmed her love of rainbows.

"She always dreamed of growing wings and flying to her own special rainbow," the family wrote.

A candlelight vigil for Lizzy, approved by the family, has been planned for 8 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Cache County Courthouse grounds. A vigil was originally proposed for the same time on the sidewalks along the family's block, but after concerns were raised for the family's privacy it was moved.

The steps of Lizzy's house are covered with stuffed animals and other items memorializing the girl. Television news crews, hoping to interview people who could give voice to the community's grief, watched the home for hours the day after police found her body.

The family has announced a public viewing from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Nyman Funeral Home in Providence, which the community is invited to attend. The funeral will be Tuesday.

Thanks to all for the welcoming environment. My fixation on this case made me connect the dots between my own CSA and my horrific realization that this little girl could have been me (based upon level of violence I experienced during abuse). And funnily it seems to aid me in partially forgiving my dissociative mother for checking out and binge reading murder mysteries. Her dad was my main abuser, so I imagine that solving one violent crime after another from her living room gave her some sense of mastery over her nonrealized trauma, and allowed a controlled window to feel she had one up on the bad guys. More to mull.
